So, in today's episode of "i was told a thing from a guy who knows things", Juranovic never wanted to leave Celtic. Ange wanted to move him on and cash in.
He was also totally unceremoniously dropped for that match at Ibrox. Worked on the shape all week with him playing. Lineup comes out, and he’s not on it.
He loved playing for Celtic and he wanted to retire here but the writing was on the wall when Ange brought in AJ.

Not sure. He was a decent spfl player but a nightmare in the champions league starting with an absolute chasing of Murdyk. If Ange saw what I saw that would have been enough.

To be fair, I think most of us were pretty happy that AJ looked like an upgrade on JJ last season. Only post-injury that he’s looked dung this campaign … or, like the rest of the squad, is it more just post-Rodgers’ return? We’ve never replaced GG quality-wise though, that’s for certain … or Jota obviously, despite a ludicrous 5 goes at it with Palma, Yang, Kwon, Tillio and now Kuhn. If ever there was a damning indictment of the Pistol (Snr & Jnr) scattergun, cheapskate, lucky dip transfer policy, that’s it right there in that “winger” hall of shame. Same with replacing Starfelt, except “only” the 3 catastrophic failures in the summer window with that one. It’s staggering just how bad our recruitment “strategy” has been of late. Having said that, BR should still be getting a far better tune out of them.
