I said on another thread that I don't envisage a huge drop off when Klopp leaves, no doubt imo but I 100% believe that there will be some differences when he leaves, just not having him about the club will have some effect and whoever comes in will have a fair bit pressure on them to maintain previous levels?

I'm do not know exactly what will happen just like I'm sure no one else honestly does either, clearly time will tell and it will be interesting to see how it pans out

Klopp is still the A side in this era. I remember under Fergie he left Smalling, Jones, Cleverly etc for the future and the next managers were clueless. These players are motivated by Klopp so it will be a hard act to follow.

Clubs should learn lessons from Man Utd on how to not let a legacy manager leave the club in a mess

Salah makes sense to sell for big money given his age, preferably next summer though.

Keep him and VVD for at least a season to allow the new manager to bed in.

I wouldn’t sell Salah. He’ll still bag 20+ goals in the next 5 years regardless of his age. The man is a machine!

Playing style and philosophy is likely to be a problem unless you can find a carbon copy of Klopp - which Alonso is not.

I think Klopp is the key factor in this side, I can’t stand the whining khunt but he is a great manager. I expect a couple of seasons where Liverpool drop off a bit - 3/4/5th place and not challenging for the league.

Bit of luck and City will either be demoted for cheating or Pep will fack off. Could leave ourselves and Arsenal to have a bottle off for the league

You're gunna be in for a rude awakening when Klopp leaves & yesterday's match was the perfect example of his #1 ability as a coach/leader that's just gunna disappear when he's not around.

Everyone's making such a big deal about the youth you brought on/the injuries you had, etc... but I expected nothing other than what happened from your side (I expected us to be better in extra time). The amount of times during his reign you've had to throw some random fringe or young player into the deep end & barely noticed any difference is staggering & not normal - it's a quality Fergie had & United lost it the moment he wasn't around.

Your teams under Klopp have always exceeded their ability because of Klopp & it runs throughout the entire club, your players are almost interchangeable. You'll find out how good this squad actually is next year & it's not as good as this. Be warned.

Yep. When Brendan Rodgers built the foundations for Klopp's success in the first place.

Huh? Klopp shipped out all but seven of the whole squad, in a couple of seasons. Below remained.

Henderson
Gomez
Lallana
Origi
Milner
Firmino
Coutinho

The main reason Rodgers was sacked was losing Suarez and Sterling, as well as Sturridge being hit with recurring injuries, with them being replaced by Benteke, Ballotelli and Rickie bloody Lambert. Rodgers lost the foundations with above three plus Gerrard going and they weren't adequately replaced.

Ferguson and United was something. How he won that last title with a squad full of dross was something else. Transitions are hard to manage in football. Liverpool did it brilliantly Shankly to Paisley. Time will tell this time around.

Alternatively, Nunez and Gakpo sub-standard, Jota injured regularly - others too, Salah going, Virg getting old, Harvey Elliott, not all good,
