If you have RDD filtered you won’t get it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So almost nobody gets it then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I certainly don't. Has there been a mass filtering?

Shall we make this post about RDD instead of Amad, it's what Elvis would want (and RDD).
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am ok with that, providing it becomes exhaustingly repetitive.

The loan spell at Rangers didn't really work out for him.

Given the lack of depth in our team, it's not a great sign that he hasn't had much of a chance, maybe this will change ETH's mind and he'll give him a bit more time.

Of course it could simply turn out to be a Macheda moment, but even if it is, he'll be remembered for it
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The Rangers loan didn't work, but perhaps it made him realise he had to work on his strength? As his loan move to Sunderland did work out and having watched quite a lot of their highlights whilst he was on loan, he looked much more prepared for the physicality of English football.

Amad is a better player than Antony, and he should be playing ahead of him. As for signing a new right winger, it is best to give the money to the new manager. Even with FA cup win, it will be shortsighted to keep ETH more than this season.

Our problem has been not killing off games early enough to give him more minutes on the pitch.

As simple as that really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I get what you are saying, but also hard to agree when we are bringing on Antony ahead of him. Even if we are chasing a game, he should really be playing ahead of Antony at this point. Maybe Antony gets on ahead of him if we are likely to be denfeding.

Amad was very good yesterday, started the move on the edge of our area by nicking the ball and passing to Nacho, sprinted to the other end to score with a precise low finish. That alone is enough for a place in the squad. Many have done far less only to be rewarded, Amad deserves better.

Long term, I don't know where he fits as a starter, is he a winger or AM? Too good for the Championship, may be decent somewhere else in the PL. Still looks a little lightweight.

From what I read the Rangers loan was actually very beneficial for Amad. Started off very badly but by all accounts by the end the Rangers fans really grew to like him and he grew massively as a person there. Loans are just about the stats, if a young player can go to a big club and handle the pressure and grow mentally then that's just as important as anything else.

Amad may be better attack wise but Antony is better tracking back, can be a strength going forwards too. I think Antony's off field issues have affected his game, he is nothing like last season and miles off the player we saw at Ajax. He's not "sheite" as many simpletons accuse him of being, frustrating, lacking confidence and form yes but there is talent there.

the loan spell did actually work. Id argue it was the naking of the boy.

When he started tou could see his ability was there but not his attitude, he wasnt up for the commitment side.

By the time the end of the season came up he got a few other chances and you could see the massive change in attitude. if you asked Gers fans in Feb if they wanted him on loan another year most would say no, if you asked again in May there was much more positive group that would have wanted it (including me)

Id say he left Rangers in a complete different mindset to which he joined.

.........

True. I am not an Antony fan myself.

IMO, Sanch's demise with ETH was due to Antony playing ahead of him which should never have happened. Even though Sancho doesn't have what it takes to be a top player, himself.

Taking nothing away from Amad's performance... but those were two of the daftest bookings you'll ever see

For the first, Dalot should really have been booked for obstructing their free-kick. He wasn't, so Amad thought: "I'll have some of that." And then he apparently forgot it had even happened.

Off topic but getting bookings for taking your shirt off is, imo, the worst rule in football.

I actually had to google why they do it and it’s classed as an excessive celebration.

Is it fvck! In fact it seems quite natural which is why so many do it.

Nonsense rule, the kid has just hit the winner in a huge cup game.

I thought it was because of sponsorship - that in iconic moments like a goal celebration, the sponsor has to be visible. But I guess that would mean Cole Palmer getting booked when he folds his arms to celebrate...

Still remember Forlan running round tackling Saints players with no top on
