This doesn't add up. You're too involved with what goes on on this forum to be doing that for a job. The only reason someone would even get involved in a discussion like this is if they're not particularly engaged at work.

An NGO joke, which one is Mamba?


An Executive Director, a Director of Operations, a Development Director, a Chief Finance Officer, and a Communications Director were on a boat when it sank. They barely made it to a deserted island.

The DO said, “I’ll start building us some shelter.”

The DD said, “I’ll go gather us some food.”

The CFO said, “I’ll stay here and inventory our supplies.”

The Communications Director said, “And I’ll practice building signal fires.”

Everyone turned to the ED.

“You guys go ahead. I have sooooooo many emails I need to catch up on.”

I can tell you we definitely haven't had our funding cut. The parent organisation may have less funds than other times in the past but not enough to impact operations in the agency I work in.

There's many different types of NGOs working in different areas and the MO cannot be the same.

The challenging operational environment is the same for all NGO's right now

And obviously you're not that close to the source of funding on responsible for obtaining it, which means you're quite a way down the hierarchy.

I think it depends on the job. For example IT workers work a lot in isolation and have regular downtime.
