DPL v Morecambe

I think it's 9 goals against in our last two encounters with Morecambe. So it doesn't bode well. With a forced change in defense we'll be lucky not to concede. However everyone else in the team will be way up for it. I was thinking a draw but I'll go crazy and say 4-2 to us . Molyneux, Ironside

It s hard to believe it was in September 2016 when Copps scored on his 500th appearance in the 5-1 win at Morecambe as it does not seem that long ago - but as one gets older...
While we would all want six in a row, such continuation seems harder every game. I'll be conservative and say a 2-2 draw with Ironside scoring if he starts, otherwise Molyneux.
I hope I'm wrong and we bring back 3 points and keep the improbable dream going.

Another very tough game against a difficult opponent. However, I'll keep the faith and say 2-1 to Rovers Adelakun with the first. Ironside if Adelukan isn't playing.

Bit late
If allowed
Morecambe 1-2 rovers

I have revised the figures for 3 games based on your comments and updated them for the most recent two.

I agree all the suggested revisions. but for the match against Crewe I believe this was Mooli's forecast:
"comment by Mooligan (U9027)
posted 4 weeks ago
Rovers 1-3 Crewe
Ironside to score ⚽"

I suppose there is plenty of scope for further error, but here's hoping...

Another great win and three home matches next! However Crewe or Crawley would have to have really poor results for us to sneak into the playoffs. Though I did think I should have put a tenner on Rovers when they were 9000 to 1 to gain promotion just a few weeks ago.

The problem is that after such a long period of decline, can we really sustain this? And it’s more related to history, or more precisely the lack of anything really similar - success following a meteoric rise which we’ve never experienced before - than the reality of the performances.

There was that first season in the Championship, and bottom at Christmas. That comfortable title in year 1 back in the Football League. There was the Wembley final and perhaps you would include the Dean Saunders League 1 Title. But none came on a winning run from nowhere, so this is a new and seemingly monumental challenge. And even if we do it, we still have to beat 2 successful teams to seal the deal.

But a lot of us have waited 50, others 60 or some over 70, even 75 years for such a winning run. Do we deserve such a reward?

Donaldo, your comments made me think more about the past. What immediately came back to mind is the picture of John Ryan when we got back into the league and beat Leyton Orient in the first game. We then won the old Division Three. So, as the bookies had said we would be immediately relegated, the improbable can happen.
However, I’m not quite in that mind now as even if we win all remaining games, it does not guarantee a play-off position. However, we can get some other managers panicking about our progression.
Let’s start with Walsall who overtook Morecambe as we beat the latter. Get three points again and other teams will worry.
Even though our dreams are totally unlikely, let’s enjoy causing worry with other teams!

Yes, I agree we need to enjoy it rather than worry about the run coming to an end. I’ve not felt so uplifted by my football team for what seems ages! The only cloud is that we might lose some of these players in the close season.

I'm pleased GM has proved what he can do. I'm also the most confident I've been since he left that we can progress up the leagues. Yes we might lose some but GMs proved he's usually astute at signing new players ,either on permanent or loan contracts. I see us just falling short of the play offs but some jitters from the teams we could catch isn't unknown.
