My old Mum was proper northern and had some dialect sayings which I never quite understood but I've never heard that one. That one makes a lot of sense, hers didn't.

Same … my Mum was a Hunslet lass … hard as nails😁👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My Mum was a gentle sort, apart from at bath time when she sang this scary song about me being washed down the plug hole. How to traumatise a two year old.

If Ampadu is unwell, who starts alongside Rodon.
I note that Gruev can play at Centre Back, is he worth a shot?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are cooper and Creswell injured ?
Having watched Gruev all season, I just dont see him as a centre half

He's played in a back 3 for Bulgaria I believe. Also played left back for them. Surely Cooper or Cresswell are fit though?
YEP saying Ampadu starts … team news in a mo …
Team:
Meslier, Gray, Firpo, Rodon, Ampadu, Gruev, Kamara, Summerville, James, Georgino, Bamford
Subs: Darlow, Roberts, Byram, Cresswell, Cooper, Anthony, Gnonto, Piroe, Joseph
Strong line up and second consecutive game Farke has suggested in press conferences key players were unlikely to play and they do make it.
Mind games or what
C’mon Leeds! Our time to return to the top of the table tonight👍
No excuses with this lineup
Bamford has to have one of his best games tonight to justify his selection or else the repercussions over Farke's judgement will I think be quite damaging.
I favoured Joseph starting tonight so I desperately want us to win and if PB contributes to that all well and good and proves me and a few others wrong in doubting Bamford's got the minerals to step up when needed, I
will gladly eat humble pie.
Come on Leeds and especially come on Bamford, get
your finger out son and concentrate for ffs, sort your feet out and stick the ball in the effing Sunderland net.
We're a fairly sensible bunch on here thank goodness, but some of the abuse and hatred a couple of our players are receiving on other social media platforms really makes a mockery of us pretending to be the best fans in the world.
Very sad to see.

Taking an ad hominem approach to criticism is a poor choice at the best of times, and sadly we have witnessed it in here previously; I love Paddy’s My Mates a footballer Podcast, and we see the real Patrick. On the field his form has been patchy and for me warrant seeing Joseph start. Farke is the man who sees him in training, not us, so in the end we should trust his judgement.
Having a long stretch of bad form has nothing to do with the man! We can hate that he costs us 3 point, but for goodness sake, which of us hasn’t suffered a stretch of bad weeks in the office before. Heck! The world isn’t ending!
Hatred is sadly born of being placed on view on a public platform…
Here we go then, Death or Glory ..
Come ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN Leeeds!!!
Southampton beating Coventry
Narritch 2 up at Wendies already.
I've got a creeping anxiety about this game, tbh.
Good tempo so far against 11 defenders
win or bust tonight at this stage of the season...Good atmosphere. Come on Leeeeds.
Ballard lucky to escape a yellow. Nice turn from Bamford
nice bit of skill from PB...keep it up
Good chance for Sunderland...Warning number 1
