He was born in the land we recognise as Turkey today.

Whether Greek or Roman or Turkish, he slayed the dragon and, as the Game of Throne's docu-series has shown, we should be very grateful as they are dangerous creatures.

True, not all dragons are the same.

St George killed an XL Bully dragon. Very dangerous in the wrong hands.

He lived in ‘Turkey’ pre-garlic and chilli sauce.

Not very many proud English people here. Come on, give us some reasons to be proud to be English?

The full English breakfast ! Unbeatable. None of this continental muck.

Sadly that's about all i can think of, and when the vegans take over the world, our one great thing will also be lost.

What I like about England, and with England football fans in particular, is their open and positive approach to immigration. The English national team would be nothing without the decades of immigration that creates players for the national team down the line.

I imagine the English ultras will be at Dover welcoming in boats of immigrants, arriving to help the English national football team over the coming decades.

That makes me proud for you to be English.

sadly, in about 10 years, Rwanda will top the rankings while England's pasty white team will wilt in the scorching Saudi sunshine at the, now annual, Saudi World Cup (formerly known as the FIFA World Cup).

See this would kind of work if you didn't grow up in Scotland and then moved back here again later as well. And live here. And are basically Scottish.

Who is everyone's favourite famous English person from history? Who makes you most proud? Could maybe make them the saint of England instead? What's a saint? Do we have modern, non fairy land equivalents now? Like Tesco managers or such?

Why is the present so boring compared to the make believe past?
