Au contraire - I was there that day you were applauding all the earnest city centre bicycle delivery chaps, remember...?

Personally think a lot of Brendan's "stats" up here are skewed by just how much of a one horse race it was when he first came up

Deserves enormous credit for the invincible season, and he swept the board when it came to trophies yes, but really his first season was as good as it got and I don't think he will ever reach those heights again

Can't fault the fact that he's won the league for you this season (barring a miracle), and is unbeaten in the old firms, but to win it with a maximum of 93 points really isn't anything all that special

We finished second under Gio/Beale with 92 last season

Does the recent ‘coming for you’ and ‘Gladiators’ patter resonate with you?

Sabre was the best one by some considerable distance.

I think people are happy to forget the absolute clusterfwck of two round of signing policies which provided us with the square root of fwck all.

This while letting the team being weakened through player sales.

Once again, look to the board.

If Rangers or their fans think that Celtic keeping on ballsing up year after year on signings is a sign of hope; it’s a pretty awful strategy which can very easily be blown apart.

The two windows were certainly bizarre but then again lots surrounding our club is bizarre. The fact we are a bit less bizarre than our neighbours is no excuse just the board don't necessarily see it.

I'll try to stick to Lex's OP about Rodgers, however. We've been over many times how bizarre the way in which he left first time. Trumped of course by the bizarre way in which he was re-hired and in the subsequent recruitment alluded to.

I'm finding his comments after the game a bit bizarre too. Clearly irked about not being treated as a genius / god / prodigal son. Is he SO narcissistic as to be unaware of the fan reaction? Of the performances? Of his role in the recruitment shambles?

Did he forget the goldfish bowl that is Scottish football. Did he forget this is not the EPL that the expectation REALLY IS to win every week at this club? So sure, he's not a rookie but he needs to stop confusing working long hours and having an impressive CV with what he delivers today and tomorrow because we all know employees that have lived off past glories - irrelevant. .

The board have the fans exactly where they want them - coughing ST money and not with sharks for the time being. If the league gets over the line it buys them all another season and that's about it. I think most of us would prefer signings that are guaranteed starter quality? Think that will only happen on a loan with fee agreed basis these days? I think we've gone too far in the prospects market. Mooy was a success and we should be scouring for more like him where no fee is involved. Europe we are getting scudded as much due to no experience.

Anyway, micro-rant over - we are bizarre.

Says exactly what I've been saying all this time
We lost this league, Celtic haven't won it, we've lost it...handed it to you on a silver platter due to our form/results since the old firm at Ibrox

not sure i agree with that.

we have been the best of a bad bunch, but we have given each other opportunities to smash it, celtic eventually took advantage of that, i hope.

I'm looking at it from a points perspective for us mate

This will be our worst points haul in a season since Gerrard's first season
