Normally we would play a Preston or Tranmere first thing but clearly not the case.
The season when we finished 5th we did play too many but this does seem less than usual.
Man City don't play many pre season games and it has worked for them quite well in the end but they normally start slow.

Maybe the plan is to start slow the way City too rather than being absolutely shot to pieces at the back end of the season like we always seem to be.
If it means we don't start the first game of the season with 9 first team players out, then I'm all for it.
A lot of teams have similar games, utd have 6 I think though...so they will be knackered early doors 😂😂
Clearly slot doesn't feel the need whereas klopp would have been off on a camp by now and would be trying to have 7 or 8 games with 45mins for everyone.
Only time will tell how fit lfc players look on the first day of the new season.
I cant wait until theres some footy again!
