I said training and recovery tbf if you bothered to actually read it. There was interviews with our fan channel that he sat out the training session the day before the game because he felt pain.
Why was he even risked? It's a friendly game.
I just refuse to believe 66 injuries and 2 bad injuries in each summer tour to the US is all just bad luck. If you want to believe it is then fine.
We won't ever kick on under this manager if we can't keep our team fit and healthy and there's absolutely no signs that things are getting better on that front.
Bad luck only goes so far for me then it gets to the stage where you have to start questioning the training and recovery.

Did I once say that bad luck wasn't part of it? I said we can't attribute it all to bad luck.
We had 66 separate Injuries last season. The most cases in the PL.
Were they all because of people falling on each other too? đ

No, but those were specifically the names and injuries you mentioned!
Of course no one believes that all the injuries we got last year were bad luck. But don't use stupid examples to make your point.

It's unfortunate with Yoro but hopefully this will allow him to settle into life in Manchester without the pressure of playing and everyone focussing on him. Not ideal, of course, but just trying to look at a small positive.
Great chance for Zirkzee this to establish himself as the CF. It may even allow us to play like we did towards the end of last season but with the bonus of having an actual forward up there rather than McT.

Why are we playing the likes of AWB and McT last night, makes me think they’re not as close to leaving as we think/links to bids coming in aren’t that true.
Watched some highlights, looks like we played some nice football at times tbf. Sancho and Amad linking well.

The players leaked to the press last season about how overly intense the sessions were and they were called cry babies and spoilt.
Maybe we should listen to them sometimes eh?
We also get injuries because he doesn't rotate the team and then when we get loads we can't rotate anymore even if he wanted to as they are all unavailable.
I know he's like a hero to some people on this forum but I haven't been overly impressed with ETH as you all know. The football hasn't been great, the signings haven't and the injuries have been a joke. But he's managed to win two cups somehow although the Carabao Cup was handed on a plate to us it can't be denied.
Pressure is going to come on him quick this season if we don't start well. Do you agree?
Would be nice if Amad can kick on this season.

Didn't most fans feel that last season started slow as the pre-season was poor and the team were a bit under-cooked in terms of fitness and preparation.
A lot of teams had a lot of injuries and most consider the this is partly a legacy of the mid-season world cup, elongating the season, less rest, more intense games etc.
But if United also didnt have a good pre-season last time out, may be that also contributed to picking up injuries, if the hard yards had not been put in pre-season, an underconditioned player is more likely to get injured. Just a theory.

I think Hojlund getting injured could be a positive if it gives Zirkzee an opportunity to cement himself in the first team, especially if Rashford and Garnacho will be starting on the wings again. He looks like the sort of player that would suit playing with them as a striker that wants to brings others into play, rather than relying on creativity from the wings to score like Hojlund does.
City don't seem to suffer with injuries like we do and they play just as much football.
What the hell are we doing with our players? This isn't all on ETH though. The other coaches and medical team have got to be part of the issue too.
ETH even said after the Arsenal game that Yoro was only doing 50% of what the other players were doing in the sessions. Why the hell was he risked then? Even if the injury is unrelated why are we risking a player who is not ready? It's just stupid stuff like that will get him sacked.

City have the ball a lot of the time in a controlled manner though. Which should help. They also have a squad where players can slot in pretty seamlessly.
Our fitness situation does need to improve, of course, but quite a lot of it has been bad luck too.
