Forbs is having his medical now apparently.

Andre still to be announced.

An actual exciting deadline day!

How much have we spent this week. Enough to make a mockery of John Percy saying we could only spend £20m. Spent that much on Andre

So who starts tomorrow?

Sa, Doherty, Mosquera, Dawson, Toti, Ait-Nouri, Lemina, J Gomes, Cunha, Hwang, Strand Larsen

that will be GON's choice.

Personally I'd have Guedes, Bellegarde or R Gomes instead of Hwang. Or GON's cat if required.

Don’t forget Semedo is back tomorrow and will surely start

After Wednesday I would play Guedes instead of Hwang, if he’s set to remain with us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Guessing (if one believes Liam Keen) that Johnstone will start, I'd also play Semedo RWB & Guides instead of Hwank

Confirmed, Fabio is now at Las Palmas. Transfermrkt

Transfermrkt has Meupiyou down with a Meniscus damage (knee injury). Anyone know different?

3 young CBs signed in the last few days. All for the future. Meupiyou, Lochhead from Dundee and Olagunju from Chelsea.

Chem Campbell off to Reading on loan till January.

Wolves official site has confirmed silva's move much earlier.

Wolves twitter just posted Johnstone leaving a wolves shirt on a chair with a Brazil flag draped over it.

Not official until transfermarkt confirms it though

Chiquinho to Real Mallorca is a loan, no option apparently. Would have liked to see him stay actually. Guess he's considered behind Gomes now then.

Think GON might start Doc in preference to Semedo

posted on 30/8/24

Think we can say that seems like a decent window.

Think Johnstone may well start tomorrow, club made a point of showing him in training today on the socials.

Forbs still not announced ....

Forbs is a loan... transfermrkt.

Couldn't help it Goldi >laugh>

Not a bad window in my opinion. I'm sure they'll need time to settle before we see them, especially as there is an International break.

Terrible window in my opinion.

We’ve sold our captain and ever present in the heart of the defence, along with our most dangerous and creative striker. Sa also on his way to Saudi.

That’s three first team players gone. Replaced with a few for the future and unproven scattergun throws at the dart board.

GON has a huge task on his hands in my view.

I don't think it's a great window, but a reasonably solid one. 6½ out of 10 for me, agree that defensively we needed to strengthen if we could but I think Andre will make a big contribution there.

With Mosquera coming in I never really felt we were desperate for a centre back but if improvements could be made then of course they'd be welcome.

We've improved depth wise, difficult to replace Neto's quality, I know nothing about Forbs and R Gomes will need time.

As mentioned earlier we're not really making signings to help the coach, the strategy is buy to sell for profit. I guess we have to suck that up and trust that they get the balance right. But we'll never be top 7 again with this approach, bottom 7 is what we now need to get used to.

Would anyone care to summarise our transfer window?

Who's left? Who's arrived? Who might still leave?

Got to be honest saw most of the individual deal, but lost track of the overall picture.

In the absence of an experienced CB, I thought the overall window was pretty good. We probably have one of the strongest midfields in the league.

I still believe we should revert to a back 3 and hope Dawson stays injury free.

Even if Sa and Podence leave, we should be able to announce a senior squad of 22 as opposed to only 19 last season.

posted on 31/8/24

Yeah I think overall it was better than I expected.

Midfield even stronger with an eye to protecting the defence a bit more. A proper CF joined. Two interesting wingers. A few good young ones and most importantly we only lost one real star.

The ins for the senior squad:-

André. €22.00m
Rodrigo Gomes. €15.00
Sam Johnston. €11.90m
Pedro Lima. €10.00m
Tommy Doyle. €5.00m
Bastien Meupiyou. €5.00m
Strand Larsen Loan fee: €3.00m
Carlos Forbs. Loan fee: €2.50m

Plus 2 youngsters that will go into the U23's

posted on 2/9/24

Larsen will become a permanent signing subject to basic conditions so in most respects that’s £23m spent. And other young players we brought in like Sutherland and Lochead will have included a small fee

posted on 2/9/24

Carlos Forbs deal is a loan with a fee of £2.5m. But if he makes 10 starts for Wolves this season it becomes a permanent deal with an extra £13.5m then becoming due.

Jose Sa’s transfer to Saudi appears to be off, meaning he will be staying to compete with Johnstone for the keeper jersey

Chem Campbell has joined Reading on loan until January
