First thoughts of course were Sandy. But wasn't/isn't there another poster who used loads of ....... in their posts?

Levy doesn`t want to spend money on big wages so we end up with kids and mid table players like Solanke.

To attract the best players you have to match the wages on offer elsewhere, a businessman like Levy will frown at the prospect of that.

Welcome back Sandy.

JA606 has been going for like 10 years now, hasn't it? I can't believe anyone just lurks for that long without making a comment.

Anyway, whatever people think about the latest window and how things have gone for us, you have to admit we've spent a lot of money, the recruitment has been generally decent lately (Porro, Vic, VDV, Udogie, Romero, Maddison, Bentancur, Kulu) and signings have been made earlier than usual. We might not have got ourselves sufficiently strengthened in every single position so far under Ange but it's still only the third window into his tenure and he's been well backed for the most part. Spent as much in 3 windows than Poch did in his whole Spurs career (11 transfer windows).

lurking for 12 years
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, basically! I did set up an account years ago, didnt post and then forgot the password. I set this one up about 9 months ago, and then had issues posting ... you can check with admin .... and I only really posted this week as I had a few beers and thought it would be a good idea!!
Just a lurker, as I don't sit at my computer day after day, I like to watch the games, but they are not my life, and there's often a lot of drama on here ..... so yeah, I just liked to read what others were thinking without getting involved.
I'll go back to predominantly lurking, but will throw in the odd comment here and then.
You guys do understand that every poster does have to make a "first time post"

the last time we had a new poster was the year 18 hundred and 75.

i remember it clearly, because that was the first new poster we've had since the year 18 hundred and 60, which was the year that Lincoln was elected.

What not many people don't know is that Lincoln only won 39% of the vote. Back in those days of course there would be more than two candidates. He was one of four.

But I digress. I know it was 18 hundred and 75 because cough cough. scuse me, the tobacco in my lungs.

I know it was 18 hundred and 75 because it was the same year that the Civil Rights Act stated that no citizen can be denied equal use of public facilities, which was something I had personally campaigned for for as long as I can remember. Since well before Lincoln.

And the new poster's user name was FACILITIES FOR ONLY SOME CITIZENS GRRR.
You can imagine, that I was against him right from the get go.

And that's even though we'd been waiting for a new poster for so long. I was conflicted, I remember cough cough. I remember that much. Oh how we'd wanted a new poster.

I could probably have let it go if it had just been the username, but dag nammit it, he had to go off protesting about toilet this library that, and within no time at all I'd had about another of this particular gentleman and I made that point clear to him in no uncertain terms.

He didn't stick around long once I gotten in to him, I can tell you. No sirree.

Anyway, since then, not a single soul has come through the door. Young Sandy and his sock accounts of course, but we don't count those.

Do you get to see them in real time, and if so, how?

Thanks "I am ..." As I mentioned above, it was years ago, honestly can't remember ..... and wasn't motivated to go through the process of making an account. Again, this weekend was combination of having some beers and being on JA606 at the same time!

Do you have the subscription service? I think I pay $4 a month and that does allow you to watch any of the EPL games live, including Spurs.
Even with the subscription ... if you can't watch it live, yes you can watch the full replays .... and its a bit weird, sometimes the replays are available a couple of hours after the game, and then sometimes its not until 24 hours later (which is a pain).
Peacock only has the rights for EPL games, to watch cup games, euro games ..... Youtube TV on firestick, or ESPN (I have ESPN with Disney package, for my kids).
I notice paramount+ is getting in on the championship games instead of ESPN.
Also, funny to see, now that the Wrexham bandwagon has taken off, they are showing their games live over here now!

I am now based in California.
Peacock lets me see games one day late.
I also have FuboTV which is expensive but sometimes has access to game Peacock doesn't.
If FuboTV IS showing a game, it is usually in realtime.
I use it for US Open Tennis.

I'm a little outside of Philadelphia (after 20 years in NYC). If you get the paid subscription to Peacock you can watch them all live.
