Yeah, good point. And wrapped up in that are questions about 1) whether we retain ETH, i.e. whether he gets to shape the medium-term tactical vision, and 2) Bruno succession planning.
My hunch is that the path of least resistance is going for a more balanced distribution of responsibilities & talents in midfield, not relying on (or catering to) a monster creator like Bruno, and instead investing big in difference-making attacking talent. Reckon it might be easier to replace Bruno with a more regular 8 and recruit a world class winger (along the lines of Leao) than find another Bruno, ideally one who requires fewer compromises elsewhere.
