You can also watch MSNBC segments on You Tube. They are left leaning but give a reasonably balanced view. A lot of their show hosts and presenters are former Republicans.

I wonder, from a comedy aspect, why Trump adding "The" in front of words made it so much funnier.

"They're eating dogs, eating cats, eating pets" would have still been funny... But something about "They're eating the dogs, They're eating the cats, They're eating the pets" just makes it much funnier.

Chief Wiggum has had his say:

if you played that to Trump before his rally, he would use Chief Wigum as his source.

Tbf AIPAC have an ungodly amount of influence in US politics. Does Biden/Harris or Trump have total control over what goes on with Israel? Probably not but if they really wanted to they could force Netanyahu to stop. However this close to an election I doubt they want to risk what would be a guaranteed election loser by telling him to stop with hostages (some of which are American) still being held.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you know these things? I read the Guardian and New York Times every day. Have a good look at the Times, Telegraph and Le Monde and look at the BBC news. And I don't know them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Watch American news channels, 52.👍
YouTube.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What do I request on YouTube?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NBC,CBS,ABC. News. PBS Newshour, Politico. Or Google
AIPAC latest news.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheers I'll give them a look. Sorry to be a nuisance but which do you recommend? Which is the most impartial?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
NPR is on YouTube and PBS Newshour also I think. Their considered lefty because of gov. grants, but Cucker Tarlson worked there early in his career, so...🙊
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks. To be honest I rarely watch American news, even the headlines. I usually don't know the politicians , whether it's a good channel, so I pick up what I know from the English press. I'll give them a look.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not to sound rude, 52, but you did say you read the NYT every day... what kind of news do you look for when you go there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I started reading it when we decided to go to New York for our holidays this year, first and last time for me due to age. I like the paper, it's similar to the Guardian my favourite paper, so it's left leaning. Do very much against Trump as I am. I read the plans a!d news from the city and surrounds and only a little national news. The subscription also gave me the Athletic.
I will carry on reading it as, simply put, I like it.

Phil donahue was fired from mnsbc for being against the Iraq war

Still fecking around in southern Africa (Maputo today) and not really had internet for a few weeks so very pleased to find out today that Kamala did a good job and didn't lay any eggs. Trump is now flustered big time.

Gotcha. I was surprised that ready a US paper every day hadn't made you a bit familiar with some of the political movers and shakers over there.

As per my others posts, there are a few youtube channels that provide light entertainment whilst also engaging in US politics. Worth giving them a try.

Also check out Brian Tyler Cohen, David Pakman and Sam Seder. The Young Turks good as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Sam Seder can be a bit boring. TYT is good when Anna is on.

Also there is Ring of Fire and Faron Balanced (both by the same guy). When he gets angry he is like Yosemite Sam from the Looney Tunes.

Another guy called Jesse Dollamore who uses the phrase "d!pshits" a lot (no it isn't me). The Meidas Touch network is often good, especially when they have Congressman Jared Moskwitz on.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All noted. Thanks VC, n Robb too.
