I did look at her picture several times last night, and it did make me happy, but i have not been looking at it today other than a couple of times, and i do not intend to look at it again.

Her original contact with me was not genuine. Subsequently she developed a brief genuine liking for me. I recognise that this was temporary, and non sustainable.

If i was 25, then it is quite conceivable that we could have fallen in love. I am not 25. I am a 40 year old failure. We will not fall in love. This is not the end of the world.

We did have the hots for each other, but i had a cold so didnt, and wasnt in a position to, take any slight chance that i might have had. And the moment has now passed. Lots of people with have the hots for her, and no doubt she will have the hots for some of them. It is an ex hot. It has gone cool. It will not reheat. It is not worth further contemplation.

Just to clear one thing up by the way. Regarding the dancing and pretending she was there.

I can imagine that many who will have read this comment, will have imagined some kind of character from the munsters going round in an uncoordinated fashion kissing thin air with his arms out, bumping into people and furniture.

This is genuinely not what happened.

It was towards the end of the night. Although the club area was still busy, the floor in the adjacent bar area only had 3 or 4 people dancing.

I began to dance. It was a good beat. I sunk into the beat straight away, and was busting out a nice little groove to it.

A couple of people came up for a dance. I just did my groove thing. A guy applauded me. I gave him a knuckle tap, and carried on.

After a while i began to move around the floor a little. At this point there was quite a bit of attention from the bar.

It was a solid, deep beat. I was right into it. And then, i just sunk a little deeper, and i sunk a little deeper, and i closed my eyes. Still bustin out the groove. And then i imagined her. And i changed my step a little, and i shimmied with her a little, and i heard some giggles and whoops from the bar, but i carried on, in the groove, imagining she was there. And it was nice.

It didnt last long. Maybe a minute or so. But it was cool.

And then i just went and sat down on the edge of the table, and finished up my drink, and the barmiads were all smiley, and it was all cool. But i was still alone. And id danced enough for the week. So, i called it a night.

And i left the building.

Yeah, that still looks like i made a t a w t of myself doesnt it.

Agh, who gives a s i ht. i enjoyed it anyway
