Really? That makes no sense. You can get like 25m prize money +15m TV money etc. I guess having the old stadium vs the new probably would make a difference as well.

It’s also based on what I read on Swiss ramble and I trust them when it comes to the numbers.

I think Chelsea made €18m for winning it and obviously the money was less 5 years ago.

WHL like you say was smaller but think it was only 32k for europa nights and definitely didn’t sell out.

Plus our players contracts were more performance based back then than now so I could easily see is not making much money in it.

Any way I don’t mind either way but my main concern by not being in it is co-efficient points.

Arsenal by being in it have kept their points up and if got in CL would get a better group.

I also think It is a selling point for footballers and it’s a really good trophy. Like the 3rd best we could win - and it’s not too difficult.

I think Kane would want to leave more if we had no European football than if we were in Europa

Also increased revenue even at a slight loss is generally better for the club anyway. Hence why this Pjanic/Arthur deal has gone ahead despite neither clubs making a Profit on it (or at least Barca haven’t)
