No reason I quite liked him at the time while I know he probably wasn’t that good - he did score a brilliant slapped free kick

Gallas was really good, shame about the level of d’ckhead that accompanied it

Alex was very likable. So was/is Ancelotti, such a coup for Everton, i wanted him at Spurs but was put off cause of how much older than he actually is i though he was.

I loved the CL back then - it seemed so cool and exciting.

Catching it on ITV - going to the pub underage and having a sneaky pint while in braces - all these names and players in a sport that hadn’t yet become over saturated
