Kane does love the club being here from the youth and he's got the personal accolades to achieve also with us.
I'm not worried about that.

I reckon the way it'll play out this summer is:
1. Spurs don't get top 4. Maybe they scrape top 6. Does 7th get the 2nd tier European cup next year? I forget. Mourinho gets the chop either way.
2. Kane wants out. He has a chat with Levy who tells him he'll only sell him for £200m. Kane is annoyed, but agrees to wait until the end of the Euros, by which time Levy will have done some deals (including a new manager) that will really convince Kane to stay. Kane is grumpy, but he's an honourable bloke and he loves Spurs. Plus he doesn't need the distraction while captaining England in the Euros. He agrees to wait.
3. Levy balks at the buy-out for Rodgers and ends up plumping for Eddie Howe. He also signs Jerome Boateng for free, who has no idea who Eddie Howe is and assumes he's the kid who fetches the players' boots.
4. England go out of the Euros in a respectable-but-uninspiring performance, losing the quarters on penalties to a mediocre Germany side. Kane comes home unfulfilled as usual. Incidentally, Southgate gets a bumper new 5-year deal from the FA.
5. Kane says "Dan mate, where's the big new project you were talking about? Howe and Boateng? I want out." Levy says no dice mate, I'd maybe think about £180m but I've just shelled out £20m+ on Mourinho's fourth retirement property so you're going to have to suck it up.
6. Kane reluctantly hands in a transfer request. The press go nuts. There's talk of a move to Real, City, United, PSG, Bayern, the Moon, who facking knows. This is in mid-July, remember.
6. Levy lowers his demands. To £150m.
7. A circus ensues that lasts the rest of July and all of August. In the last 3 days of August, Levy finally sells Kane to City for £120m.
8. Eddie Howe is left with Troy Parrott as his only option up front. Oh, and Son got sold earlier in the summer to PSG to replace Madrid-bound Mbappe, and Levy used the funds to buy Tarkowski, Aarons and Ramsdale and pocket the remaining £10m.
