Went for an unchanged team in predict Mason, first time I've submitted for weeks

I only just really thought of this due to Totally Football Show - but by the time the season is done. Won’t Mount have played a disgraceful amount of games and be really knackered? He’s played 49 this season already with a likely 7 more to go.. that’s pretty obscene.

I'd rest him in a few of the league games now, but clearly our physios think he is capable of the highest minute loads and they do a lot of testing these days

Seen a few players capable of crazy appearance numbers and be completely fine for it. Azpi is our best example when he was in his prime years

But there have been loads of players in recent who have played through the red zone.

It’s different with defenders who aren’t flying fullbacks though. I think he’ll be fine short term but it may haunt him at 28.

Anyway, a slightly intense question for first thing on a Sat morning. But you are much more knowledgeable at this kind of stuff than me.

How has Starmer failed so badly? I thought he seemed really decent when he came in but I’m not particularly a leftist

I trust Tuchel on knowing the red zones of his players. I'd imagine he is keenly aware of every minuteload on every player without even having to look it up

Id also point to how carefully and correctly Pulisic and Kante have been managed, also Silva

He isnt just throwing players into these matches without a care for what they can handle

From the 15/16 to 19/20 seasons Azpi was putting in 50+ appearances a year and he barely ever got subbed

Theres one year he played ever minute of the PL but i cant remember which

I don’t think Tuchel is unique in understanding fitness regimes (I’m not saying you think he is) and plenty of well learned managers have burnt players out, including Pep, Poch, Klopp and even Tuchel and Dortmund
