Miscalculated the numbers I think!

Didnt know much about his policies but seemed a compassionate person + I definitely sympathised with his personal issues in Palestine and how he handled it.

I’d love to see that midfield with either bents or Biss holding but seems madders is un droppable

I think it'd work well - but I do reckon Bentancur is injured

I think he’s probably 80% back to his pre injury form and now needs games to get the rest back.

Start of next season I’m hoping for a fully fit bents as imo our best CM

He will be playing in the Copa America this summer so no resting up. Considering how much time he has had off it might be a good thing seeing as our season ends soon.

I'm starting to think Bentancur just isn't a great fit, as good as he is. Needs to be better in defence or more mobile

He was ridiculously mobile under Conte though. Just isn't the same player currently after the ACL (and may not be).

I meant more after the BJ missed attempt, I'll try and find it/screen record it but it seemed really odd to me.

Madders hasn’t been the same either.

I think Maddison was just never that good, his great start to the season was more an anomaly than his current form

I'm not sure he was. Sure, he was more resilient than what we've seen now but Hojbjerg did a lot of the dirty work IIRC. His strength was mainly ball retention and vertical passes

Maddison always been a patchy player it’s why no one big went in for him.

All of which to say, I think Bentancur could definitely be our Rodri given time and a bit of work on positioning

Bentancur pressed more than anyone under Conte (bar Kulu), I reckon he probably covered the most distance per game last season.

To give Maddison some grace, I don't think it helps that the midfield is very congested and teams aren't particularly scared of our threat down the wing.

If given more space he'd be playing much better, but he isn't and won't be so we need someone else who will step up.
