They were proper rubbish, even considering we were also proper rubbish. We can win, but we need to pretend they’re a good team like City/Liverpool/Arsenal and maybe raise our game to just above our usual rubbish level and we should then have enough to beat them.
Need to play like we did 2cnd half against Arsenal with a bit of pace and energy but probably won’t and take until about 40 mins for our first shot,
Going to the game and would be nice to be entertained not just by the opposition at home.
If we play with pace and intensity we should be too much for them. They weren't all that at all. I know we're not either but play the right way and we get through.

Rasmus would perhaps be better served by coming on as sub when hopefully Sociedad are chasing the game. I wouldn't be surprised seeing Lindelof start but I'd give Heaven a chance after his decent cameos recently. I'd play him to the side of the more experienced Dalot rather than Dorgu too.
Casemiro would be in as I don't think Sociedad are the biggest team and could be a threat in the air.
Diafol's prediction: 3-1 United
One game at a time. Just get the job done tonight however we manage it and then there's a 4 week gap before the 1/4 finals. Chance to have 3/4 more players available for that should we make it.
We should've won with ease in the reverse tie, if the game goes the same way we should win.

On the other hand, they'll be encouraged by the fact that they finished strongly against us, that after they brought on that more athletic forward (can't remember and can't be bothered to look up his name) we lost our physical advantage against them, and by the return of Zubimendi.
Play tonight's match ten times and we would see some wins for United, probably one or two for Sociedad, and a few going all the way to penalties. The randomness of who scores first may well set the tone for the match. Hopefully Hojlund remembers he has a decent scoring record for us in European competitions.

One of the fan groups in contact with the club have funded it I think. Just some firework type pyrotechnic shiiiiit. They’ve done it before where they request the club doesn’t play the usual music building up to kick off (until the final walk out) and then try and collate all the fan groups to take their seats early to get the chants going and build some atmosphere.
Never noticed it tbh. What stand are you in?
A few round us are giving up their tickets this season unfortunately, considering moving to the Stretford, but then I cba to stand up all game every game

Goodle informs me he's a Russian citizen and that he has barely played this season. Wasn't even in the squad for the home leg.
I was going to do am article how this could be the turning point. There is a system there, it's just taking advantage of it.
Just read that there could be seven PL teams in the CL next season.
Looks pretty certain that five will qualify via the coefficients rule. Then if Villa or Arsenal were to win the CL from outside one of the top five PL spots and Spurs or United were to win the EL, there'd be seven qualify in total.
Exceedingly unlikely, obviously. But would be fun.
