The difference

I think we’re done.

What a change 5 games makes.

But you’re right, with a different keeper we are 6 points clear of 3rd now. He’s the worst keeper in the league, makes absolute howlers and also doesn’t do as well as he should with others.

up until he dropped a clanger mes was by far our best player on the pitch until he did a leeds. i have seen martyn, lukic, sprake and havrvey do worse but not necessarily as often and probably quite a few other keepers we have had over the years. remember rachubka or whatever his name was, now that was a real horror show

Meslier has just lost whatever it was he had. That confidence or self belief is gone.

It was by far his best game of the season but then he still has two howlers

Nah difference is keeper, simple has that.

literally thrown six points away in the last minute.

On top of other massive mistakes

Given our finance situation if we don’t go up this season we will be a mid-table championship team for years and years to come.

Angus doesn’t give a f he’s off Everton

Shambles on and off the pitch

Meslier is statistically, over the metrics that apply
to keepers, the 18th best in the Championship.

And you're right White, that is the difference.

Trafford and Cooper light years better.

Yes all keepers sometimes make mistakes. But not as consistently as the one we have now. And, as i've been saying all season, the ones Meslier makes are basic schoolboy ones.

We didn't deserve to win today but the fact is we were seconds away from doing so. It's gone straight through him.

A14, Hammond's joining Kinnear at Everton.
He's a big loss. I said this was a gamble what
the club did - wasn't the only one - and now
it's apparent to everyone. Or it should be.

Johansson cost stoke 1 mill. Cooper cost 2 mill.

Meslier was rated at 30 mill by some fans. We couldn't
get 30,000 quid for him now. Fcking joke.

With a solid keeper we'd have one hand on the trophy now & top two would be very close to being in the bag already.

However the reality is i fear another long long stay in the wilderness. Depressing.

Today unfortunately was a watershed moment for all the wrong reasons.

Although there are 7 games left, we've hit a mental wall, where Burnley and Sheffield Utd seem to be blasting right through it - momentum at exactly the right time for them.

Very disappointed with DF in recent weeks.

If the powers that be decided to get shot on Monday morning, I wouldn't be too fussed as it's looking like our favourite tournament, the 'Play Offs', is just around the corner.

I've said it a million times (slight exaggeration),
once again we fcked up by not using the January
window. Burnley did. They brought in several
players. But, they brought in one specific player:
Marcus Edwards. Before him they were excellent
at defending. With him, they now score and win.

Sheffield lost several key players to injury. And they
were failing to score. They brought in several players
and while it was bumpy at first. Look at them now.

Us?

We were so fcking arrogant. "We are the best we
don't need anything. Bamford back soon blah blah"

Save our war chest for the Prem. Tw4 ts.

Idiots acting like idiots two seasons straight.
Championship is not a beauty contest. It's not
Ice Dancing. And it's not a sprint. It's a marathon
that requires absolute mental toughness.

If we fail to go up, it's because we failed on the
6 inch pitch between the collective ears.

If you go up you will get Aaron Ramsdale.

Edwards has literally scored one goal and one assist 🤷🏻‍♂️

sheffield utd, have literally spunked a load of money, and gone back to orginal players.

Keeper I get, but other positions havent cost us at all

Leeds Devon … I’ll add you to the JA606 members list tomorrow (when I’m, er, a little more compus mentis🍷😁 … and I’ll also go through Earl’s MDT to see if there’s anyone else I’ve missed on there👍).

If we do end up matching last season's failure, never in the history of football will a coach have lapped up so much applause for so little actual achievement.

I quite liked his walking round the ground to milk the acclaim early last season, felt it was a signal of togetherness. But after last season, especially the scenes following the win over Leicester, i was hoping he might tone it down a bit this time. Let's leave the celebrations until promotion is assured.

No wonder you can suck your own toe/balls, you twist
more than a pretzel on here acting like you know more
than anyone. You're a fcking know nothing.

Football is about more than stats. Why do I say that?
Because you defended Bamford for the last 8 years
based on stats alone. Use your eyes you said. We did.
Bamford is sh 1 t. You won't admit it
because you staked so much of your own brain on it.

You know nothing LIW. You were wrong so many times
it fcking laughable. You just shout and bang on a lot.

Admit it, nuance is lost on you. We are fcking cratering
and January additions would've helped us avoid this.

100/100 my ar $3. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah, I think you need to change your user name LIW. It’s wrong on all three counts - not champions, not 100 points, lost 4 games.

I remember after last season’s failure, Farke said, we need some old heads in there, proven championship players who know the ropes. Looking at our recruitment it certainly didn’t go that way at all.

Not easy when the keeper has given away 12 points
