He will do for the next 4 games and then number priority is a decent consistent keeper. That charge out of his area to punch the ball a good metre outside the box was simply astonishing. Could have cost us 2 points.

Not half as astonishing as the stuff we've been watching from Meslier all season.
Clear the danger then deal with the free-kick. No huge issue with it personally.
So refreshing to have a keeper capable of catching crosses & corners with the minimum of fuss & without raising my blood pressure.
He's just a decent keeper and that all we've needed.
His kicking was better than Meslier's as well, worse with his feet though when passed back to him.
What I like about Darlow so far is that he doesn't come for everything like Meslier does. Just stays on his line and that's okay.
Poor mistake for the free kick but stuff like that is better than dropping the ball for a definite goal. Thing is no keeper is perfect and will make mistakes, but you can't make many as Meslier was
Lets be honest, we’d have broken record for most points in season, with just an half decent keeper, and certainly would have been promoted yesterday.
He’s done well and steadied the ship at keeper.
Farke finally made the call, have to say with hindsight should have made it sooner.. but I’m not going to hold it against him I thought he handled the situation well a few months ago I don’t think anyone could foresee how bad meslier actually got.
Hindsight shouldn’t have been required tbh spit.
Just took a lot of people long time to smell the coffee. He cost us a relegation and a promotion with regular errors. It’s just been exaggerated this year with a few more high profile howlers - and our two nearest rivals keepers having had blinders.
Great to see Lady Luck seems to have finally deserted Sheffield united. Would be a travesty if they fluke their way to automatics.
Darlow did mess up yesterday but… if your keeper is going to make an error of judgement it’s the lesser of evils that he sticks to his guns. Once he’d come he was right to punch it and take the free kick. We’ve seen Meslier do the Hokey Cokey too often.
He had some tough crosses to take yesterday and took them well which gives confidence to the defence… and fans alike
Lets be honest, we’d have broken record for most points in season, with just an half decent keeper, and certainly would have been promoted yesterday.
^^^
Absolutely.
And Darlow messed up at least twice yesterday.
He's better than Meslier. But, we all know that
when we go up, Darlow's a back up at best.
Recruitment team need to focus on signing a very
good, Prem level keeper who does everything well.
Yep, wanted Darlow to replace Mes in January but DF had other ideas. The biggest change (for me) about having Darlow in goal as opposed to Mes, is not getting a panic attack every time the ball is crossed into our penalty area. Basic, solid keeper. Just what we needed. As for next season, not sure he’s a Prem keeper but still a good back-up/training partner as a minimum.
Who's still drunk from yesterday's events?
Yes. I am.
Darlow has been what we needed in goal. Safe pair of hands.
But I do remember lots on here saying earlier in the season that he was rubbish. And that he should not have been signed.
So far he looks like an ok signing to me. Now I don't bite my nails at every corner we do concede. And that, at least, is something

Yep, I remember that too, to be fair👍
He handled the ball outside of his area yesterday.
If Mes had done that there would have been three articles on here and then another three by The Dumb about it.
Yes he is a better option than Mes but anyone acting like he is anything over than a bang average stop gap who we hopefully won't see after another 4 games is dreaming.
Regarding the yellow card he picked up yesterday, far better to do that than start to come, then stop & end up watching the ball sail over into an empty net.
I have no idea why so many were so against Darlow coming into the side. It baffled me before & on reflection baffles me even more now.

"Bang average stop gap" is all this side needed. Meslier cost us at least 10 points so yesterday should have been the day promotion was assured.
There was a flaming good reason for the articles about him.
Skysports claimed that Meslier has made 3 mistakes this season compared to 0 made by Trafford, Cooper and Darlow combined. 3 mistakes is pretty generous.
Sunderland
Hull
Sheff Utd
Swansea
Not sure which one Sky are excusing. 6 pts dropped there and effectively would've been promoted by now.

Hmmm well he could have been sent off. Harsh but not impossible.
And there were Leeds defenders there to deal with a nothing central ball to edge of box.
Yes it wasn’t as bad as dropping ball and gifting a goal but in goalkeeping terms it was really very poor
