Love Cas, he may not be up to it but really rate his character and heart. I'm a sentimental fool and will give players a lot more rope than lost. Hope he can at least go out on a high so that his time is remembered more fondly. I've really liked having him here and I imagine he's great to have in and around the club.

He was crap last night.

Ball retention was awful.

Fair play for what he did in extra time but let’s not mistake that for a good performance.

Yeah he had a very poor 90 mins but he stepped up when we needed him to in ET.

Massive issue in this team though. Teams get at our defence far too easily and mostly because this guy can't run back and do what he used to be so good at.

I actually thought he played well last night. Made an insane number of blocks and headed clearances, and also helped create several quality chances (beyond the assists).

He has been much better in recent weeks since his reintroduction by Amorim than he was before the turn of the year.

Ugarte getting up to speed and Bruno adjusting to playing in CM, as well as the other players starting to get to grips with the system I think will all have helped him.

Created all 3 goals in extra time: was fouled for the penalty, sweet first time ball for Mainoo that helped him create just enough space for the finish, and beautiful chip for the winning header. More than enough to redeem the rest of his performance.

It might feel like his ball retention was poor, but looking at the figures, he wasn't dispossessed on the ball once and his pass completion was very solid (87.3%) despite making comfortably the most progressive passes of anyone on the pitch (12).

Possibly a case of Baader–Meinhof phenomenon?! (Happens to the very best of us Winston!)

I think more of a case of sideways passes bumping up the average, but it’s an interesting stat and if I could be bothered, I’d re-watch the game!

I think the most concerning element of his play is when the team are up against it - he should be a calming influence, and I think he’s the opposite.

6 Minute Remontada!

(Sounds like something you'd pay a good chunk of pesos for in a Tijuana funhouse...)

Great player and seems a genuine, nice fella.

Hope he gets his hands on one more trophy with us...

The main issue with Casemiro, for me, is that we don’t have a midfielder good enough to play alongside him.

The jury is still out on Ugarte. Eriksen should never start games, Mainoo is too slow and Bruno isn’t a midfielder.

Mainoo isn't a sitting midfielder. All his best work for us comes in final third. Scored some really big goals for us already.

You don’t need a sitting midfielder next to Casemiro. Just one that can get up and down the field and play football.

THANK YOU!!! I really hope we do get delusional about how rubbish the players we have are. He's has as much a hand in us being in the position we found ourselves in. Hot and cold players with no facking consistency.

Bruno can get up and down the field and play football. He can do it for now.

The question with Bruno is how do we get the very best out of him in terms of his net contribution to the side over the next three to four years?

We have a player who is amongst the best in Europe right now and thriving under Amorim. We should be filling the gaps around where he can do his best work whilst the youngsters like Amad and Kobbie are brought on.

Cass wasnt very good last night at all. He and others in the team finally woke up in the 2nd half of xtra time.

Keep it real. (no pun intended).
