Presumably our game v Palace will be played midweek after the Cup Final, just a few days before the final matches. We will have had about 10 days rest, they will get 3 or 4 days. Let's hope it goes to extra time.

Did notice the 6 subs yesterday, couldn't work out what was going on. Who was the concussed player?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One of the Leicester ones was so apparently both teams get an extra one
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This had me scratching my head too. Had no idea there'd been a concussion scenario. Can't imagine Forbs loan will be converted, was surprised to see him come on yesterday.

I wouldn't start Cunha again this season. Need to plan without him now.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
So glad VP doesn't agree. Man of the match yesterday.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's hope he doesn't get injured or do something else to lower his value like get another suspension.
We all enjoy watching him play, but he has made it clear he wants out at the end of the season. We'd have beaten Leicester without him yesterday. They were rubbish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They were but would rather watch a dominant, entertaining 3-0 than a stodgy 1-0.
Bit torn to be honest over whether he should be starting but same could be said of Ait-Nouri and possibly others. Where does it stop?
winning run likely to stop on Friday but hopefully we will give it a good go, on tv too

I don't mind him starting but I am definitely in the prepare for next season camp when you have free hits. Cunha is an extreme of course as he is so much better than the rest for his position but I don't understand why we aren't using others that are more than capable elsewhere. Rodrigo for Munetsi for one. Djiga for Santi Bueno when he got a game from nowhere.

At the moment the strongest shout for a start is Rodrigo Gomes. He was excellent when he came on on Saturday. That would mean not starting either Ait Nouri or Semedo of course, neither of which will happen. Maybe bring him on earlier, say on the hour mark.

I was a bit baffled by the Doc for Santi sub but didnt really care at that point must admit.
Not sure that Rodrigo could do the job that Munetsi is doing, he could play up there for sure but would be in a more traditional forward role.
Noticed that Liam Keen has written that talks are still ongoing between the club and Semedo about a new deal. Whilst I hope that can be done, I suspect that if was going to happen it would have been by now. Ideal scenario is Semedo & Ait Nouri staying another year and giving Lima and R Gomes further time to devlop.

Also saw yesterday the Wolves women were told yesterday that the club had refused to submit their promotion application to the Women's championship after finishing second again to Forest. Not sure how the promotion works to be honest, think its one up automatically. But its another clear message from Shi and Fosun that putting hand in pocket to support development is not on the agenda.
posted 1 day, 12 hours ago
Read that story about the women’s team and wasn’t sure whether they’d refused or forgotten to submit the application for the championship. Either way it’s a shambles and a real kick in the teeth for the girls that have got themselves into a promotion position.

Do think Rodrigo has the ability to be a star for us next season but they do need to decide what position he’s going to play. Even on Saturday when he played the last 20 minutes he played the first part of that time as left wing back, then Bellegarde took that position and he moved to the right. And yet Rodrigo played equally well on both sides so he could probably make his mark wherever he plays.
posted 1 day, 11 hours ago
I think a lot depends on whether we have Hugo Bueno back next season. He's had a good spell with Feyenoord and would fit in perfectly if RAN were to leave, which I still feel might happen.
Rodrigo has the ability to play on the left or right and will feature a lot next season. Lima may well be groomed to replace Doherty/Santi.
I do feel we are strong in both defence and midfield, therefore any transfer fees must be centered on strengthening the forward line.
posted 1 day, 11 hours ago
With regard to the women's dilemma. Apparently the club had to submit the application back in February. The club were in a relegation scrap at the time and were concerned about going down.

If anyone replaces Doherty it will be Mosquera. Lima isn’t a centre back
posted 1 day, 10 hours ago
Who thought Doherty would be a CB and I did say "may well be". Mosquera could well be his replacement, but he is injury prone. Hopefully, he'll be fit for next season.
posted 1 day, 9 hours ago
Yeah Lima will certainly never be a CB. Think it is likely he gets a loan next season.

Manchester United have offered Wolves forward Matheus Cunha a five-year contract if the 25-year-old Brazilian opts to move to Old Trafford.

Seems United are desperate for him to be trying to push this through so early. Seems like there is other interest out there if they are trying this hard this early.

But with Man Utd.
I'd struggle to know what to do with 30k a week. Retire probably after a year. Would quickly burst the annual ISA allowance for sure. Maybe get some property overseas, Amalfi coat, Cote d'Azur, Arizona...
