no gonna happen

Ange said much the same, that he expected a number of key players to get some minutes tonight as it would be too long without them playing.

It's a balancing act though, especially with our injury issues. Look at Deki, one of the few 'key' players to play in our last game and now he's crocked.

That's good. I keep reading "play the kids" or play a full second string. That ignores the fact that players need to be sharp (or sharper) come next Wednesday if we are to have any chance of winning.

Ange has already come out and said we can’t afford a single more injury.

He's right. But players need to play games at some point. If we go into the final with our first eleven not having played for nearly two weeks, that won't bode well I fear.

You don't need fine tuning after a near 60 game season.

United and Spurs tonight will be fielding very undercooked teams and rightly so too. If we lost Bruno to an injury tonight or you lost Solanke or Johnson it would be a sackable offence in what are meaningless games. 14th -17th isn't going to change any perception in our league seasons. The ship has sailed. All comes down to midweek.

cant see him risking the starting defenders, or any of the midfielders considering we only have 3 fit

I doubt any of our players have played 60 games.

In case you haven't noticed, VDV, Romero, Udogie, Vicario, Solanke, Richarlson and most recently Son, have been absent for large parts of this season

11 days is nothing, they go longer on international breaks when not picked to play.

You should have mentioned it.

We've been plagued with injuries again ourselves. Maybe not to the extent you guys have but still not been pretty. Never is for us.

Martinez ACL
Shaw n Mount barely played.
Amad n Kobbie out for 3 months only just back
Zirkzee is out
De Ligt been in and out a lot

It's been a big reason why we're both bottom half.

I’d normally agree as I’m not a fan of rotation, but we play next Wednesday, sure they can manage skipping one game?!

I get that, but most of our first XI are internationals so they generally play during international breaks. But my main point s that they have very limited playing time recently (due to injuries) and they will need a run out tonight in my humble opinion.

I really dont' wantt another final no-show from our players. No sluggishness or no lack of sharpness. We need the best preparation.

Most of them played the 2 games against Bodo - they are fine. We had a 3 week break for the CL final and the final couple of games were lower key and not good prep.

We’re better off setting up a shadow side at training that Mimic Man United and spend the time practicing against them. These guys are pro, they aren’t going to lose it in 11 days

Usually I'd agree with you, but my experience of supporting Spurs tells me different.

All need to be playing regularly, totally agree, especially Son who needs a proper run out tonight

People say that tonight will be meaningless and they're not bothered about the result, but would they still think this if we lost by an embarrassing score line?

Retweet.

Not to mention constantly repeating our record in the league and where Ange ranks compared to other managers.

But a Karen has to do what a Karen has to do 🤷🏻‍♂️. Good boy.

If we got done 10-0 tonight and then lifted the trophy on Wednesday I wouldn’t care one bit.

If we got a 0-0 draw tonight and then lost to United on Wednesday I wouldn’t be saying - but at least we went strong at Villa and avoided defeat.

The outcome of this game to Spurs could not be more meaningless - there is absolutely zero on the line with regards to the score tonight.

Ange will be gone a week Monday whatever happens, we have waited a long time - another 10 days is a piece of pizz

I would disagree about not caring if we lost 10-0. I mean for one thing that would be a record breaking score line that we'd always have to be linked with. An absolute embarrassment. But generally whatever hammering it was, the worse the league season gets, the harder I'd find it for a Europa victory to try and redeem it, if that makes sense? The trophy won't just automatically erase what came before. At least not to me.

I see it plenty of times on various Spurs' podcasts and channels. It's funny, I never realised how many there were until how shiiit we've become this season.

Saw that flat Flav guy on The Fan Debate with Nev and Carra saying we would "easily beat Utd", he then rightly back tracked a minute later. Not sure about him

Rickyball bag had some decent guests on yday I think. Saw about 5 mins before I got bored. In the main, Spurs fans on YT and other platforms are all mushrooms and should be avoided.

The chuckle brothers look like they eat each other's snot but fairplay to them. They go home and away.

The story would go “remember when Spurs lost 10-0 at Villa and then won the Europa league in the next match”

I can’t see any point in getting frustrated anymore - Ange has 3 more Tottenham games left in his career and only 1 of them is important. We will have a new broom next season, hopefully with a trophy, CL football and a Supercup match at the start of the season
