I have some sympathy with the critics of this post. While it may indeed appear desperate to some, any shade of psychophantia in the football world is somewhat out of place in my view.

Arne Slot was a highly successful, top-class manager in his home country, I presume that’s why he was picked by FSG to coach the Reds, to achieve the same or similar success, and that’s what he’s done, some would argue, in spades.
Should he be able to repeat, al la Pep, successes then he can truly be held in high regard.
