I 100% want him to stay, but the Athletico rumours just won’t go away.
I'd be fine for him to stay and if he wants to go and we get a good enough offer then happy to sell him. If we keep Ange then it's not as if defence is going to be good with Romero or not, unless Ange decides he's going to change his tactics.
Romero wants to go I think that much is pretty clear. It will have little bearing on what Ange does IMO.
What kind of offer you think Spurtle?

As it's Atletico and Levy will be negotiating then I reckon we could get a pretty good deal. Anything around the £60m mark or upwards then I'd be happy selling a player that wants to go anyway, who let's face it, isn't always reliable in availability or performances.
Yeah I’d think £60M minimum.
But I wouldn’t be happy about it!
Keep if we can renew or sell if we can’t while we can get top money for him.
No kees than £65m though

AM are reportedly looking at about 40m. They will need to nearly double that to entice Levy
Hopefully, no saga. When a bid comes in, we name our price and leave it there. Hopefully, they meet it and he goes
Son won't be far behind.
If we are selling a CB it should be Dragusin, who has never looked up to it.
Romero cost us around £45m, he is a better player now than before he signed now, so if he goes it should be north of £60m

I would vote to keep Romero if at all possible.
I do not understand the talk about him being tied to Postecoglu?
I would think Micky VDV's future is more in the mix with Romero.
Frankly, I like our back four and they should all stay.
Its the midfield and attack that need sorting.

We've been terrible at selling in the last 10 years. If he's not going to sign a new deal, get rid asap. Too many top stars have left for peanuts when we could have sold and reinvested well. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but really we should have sold Dier to United when Jose wanted him. We could have got 70m for him. Same for Dele, who could have commanded £120m at one point. We've screwed up so much when it comes to selling at the right time and as good as Romero has been, coming back for the Europa, he's doesn't touch the likes of Toby, Jan or Ledley in our hall of famers. Not even close.

Which top stars have we sold for peanuts?
Fact is that if we're selling them they've either been bad, so worth less, or a success so worth a lot.
I think if Levy started selling players when they hit peak value then you will criticise him for this too.
Few big clubs sell unwanted players for decent sums of money unless Saudis get involved
