Also, its easy to generalise America - but large portions of it are so drastically different from eachother a lot of generalizations fall short.
The North East is nothing like the West Coast, which is nothing like the South, which is nothing like the mid-west, then don't get me started on those weirdos in Texas.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well they refer to "the British accent" and "Europeans" so they shall be treated the same in return. Stupid Americans and their guns and oversized meals.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In my opinion it is worth just sticking to blue states and cities unless you are visiting nature or something.
(also the beer is actually very good, I held a similar viewpoint before I did a road-trip in 2014. Its just the mass-exported beer is sheit)

Why would anyone go to America?? Shiiite food, shiiite beer, shiiite sports, shiiite people (apart from the ones who have the mental capacity to travel outside of America), guns, non-existent public transport most places, too hot, too dry, too cold, too loud, no history, too expensive, everyone on drugs that they "need" for profit. Some nice mountains if you have a spare million pounds to climb/ski them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Food, beer and sports are good.

Food and beer is crap. If you’re into junk food then they definitely have the best and so many different options too. I’d have put on a stone if I’d have stayed another week. Sports, well I suppose if you’re into American sports it’s great.
They had a good variety of whiskey at the hotel I stayed. Was speaking to a Canadian and he put me on a Canadian one. I was have cut by then so I think it was great but can’t be sure.

More of my cohort, innit.
Have stupid people always voted? It feels like they just weren't interested in politics like 20 years ago. Is it like most things in life, once stupid people get involved then it just ruins it for everyone else? Like going to the beach at Loch Tay when we were young but then the stupid neds from the local town heard about it and came and ruined it with fighting and litter.
Camping, the same. Stupid neds ruined it.
What else? Facebook.
Alcohol at football.
Dog ownership.
Even just things like Lucozade here. They had to reduce the sugar content in a drink where the point was it had high glucose for sports. Ruined by stupid people getting fat.
What are other things that have the potential to get ruined through stupid people getting involved?
Obviously all forms of media. The Loveislandification of everything to appeal to the stupid majority.
Hopefully they stay away from science and such but we are already exposed to too many reeetarded debates about flat earth and climate change. These subjects already infiltrated by stupid people.

Don't kid yourself, there are as many idiots in the UK as there are in the US, make no mistake.
It's like deer populations here. They have to cull deer annually so that the population doesn't get out of control and ruin things for the whole deer population. There are no natural predators left for deer anymore, the same with stupid people not dying off as easily anymore.
We may need to take a similar approach and control the numbers of stupid people in society, so that they don't ruin everything for the whole population.
It works well because they target the weakest deer, so the strongest ones survive.
It shouldn't be that they breed uncontrollably at a much higher rate than intelligent people, without the natural death rate now either.
The only way is backwards if we let the stupid population become more and more of a majority, which will happen under current policy and projections.
They have far too big an influence on politics now due to sheer numbers. Either we change the way democracy works or we begin the cull.

Jokes aside. that is the scary thing in the US. The ultra religious brain dead brigade that back morons like Trump are banging out 5-10 kids, some even more. The educated career folk that vote Dem are having maybe 2 maximum, many having none at all. 30 years from now its a disaster.
On the subject of stupid people, I saw an interview this week with a guy who just opened a Reform UK pub. He was a member of the party, let the local branch hold their meetings in the premises, then decided to take the next step of changing the name, giving the sign Reform branding, etc. Anyway, he got asked about Brexit, said he had voted Leave but now realised it was a big mistake and we'd all been misled about a lot of the implications. He's planning to retire to Spain, and now it's going to cost him a lot more to do so because of the paperwork, etc. When asked how come he supports the party led by the guy who misled him about Brexit, he just said, well, Farage wasn't the only one who wasn't telling the truth, was he?

And I am no US fanboy. I would happily live in many countries but the UK would certainly never be one of them.

Honestly it all comes down to personal preference but I do think the Healthcare thing is a pretty huge aspect that seems to tie in to how uptight the people are.
It obviously depends what part of the country you live in, but all in all I'd rather live in the UK.
Maybe it is evolution's way of telling us that we aren't meant to get too intelligent as that will destroy the species too quickly. Thousands of years of sustainable human life, yet in a couple of hundred years of rapid technological growth, we quickly put the species and planet at risk.
So the human species regressed to a more sustainable state by moving back to the more ape like form which sustained them for so long. It elected ape like leaders to appeal to the increasingly ape like humans, moving back to a sustainable form of society. Lessons had been learnt but was it too late? Find out next time.

Thus speaks someone who happens to enjoy a relatively privileged position in the US.
Per capita, average Americans are richer than average Western Europeans based on income relative to cost of living.* But of course inequality is greater, and the safety net much leakier if someone loses their job or doesn't have insurance coverage for a serious health condition. And walk around any US city and it takes no time to find people with severe mental health conditions, clearly homeless and in distress. I guess if you don't count those people as part of the whole you're generalising about, it's easier to claim that lifestyle is much better in the US of A.
* according to other metrics, the US lags behind the UK, which in turn naturally lags behind most West and North European neighbours. This includes the Human Development Index (combining GDP per capita with life expectancy and education levels), and the Corruption Perceptions Index. I'd note that the most recent figures for both of those were last compiled before Trump's second presidency. We can only speculate about their present trajectory.
Honestly you go to most big cities in America and big parts feel worse than places you'd consider third world countries nowadays. I'm sure the suburbs are lovely but for someone who doesn't want to trade any sort of culture or excitement for their own personal safety, America isn't the one.
