|Useful squad option that can play across the attack. Has his injury problems, so would expect other signings in these positions (which Smyth has confirmed). Not bad for a free.

I predict the fan base will look at some of his past record and moan but pleased with this. Completely out of the blue as well which i like. Surely this pushes Bamford closer to the exit too.
Sign Bijol too & it's a solid start to the summer. I like the profiles. Both 26, ideal age.

Seems like he is the replacment in the squad for Joseph.
Playing across the front seems like a useful option too, particularly when Farke goes all out in the 70th minute and brings on six strikers...

2 year deal so seemingly a squad option. Played in England before which is a bonus. 26, good age 👍

Impossible for me to give an opinion, just don't have the knowledge.
At least he's not 33 plus which is usually a no from me for a striker.
posted 5 days, 1 hour ago
Played 7 games for Germany, which suggests he's no mug when fit. Seems to have had a few high scoring seasons in his career, but a bit down on his luck atm.

He's free so nothing to lose, providing we add another striker. Obviously Farke is familiar with German league players.
He looks like a good penalty taker at least so could be very handy but as above comments he's a useful squad addition to replace Joseph by all accounts, cost nowt other than wages of course and hopefully can have an injury free season which hasn't been the case for him recently.

Lets hope he came for cheap wages.
I personally dont like signing injury prone players.
Recall wincing when we paid over £20m for Sinisterra and he was rarely fit. Thankfully Bournemouth bailed us off and he is now their physios problem.
Piroe who I cant see doing overly well in the Premier league along with Bamford and Nmecha injury record is a concern at present with Joseph likely leaving.

Bamford will pull us through 😏
Seriously though - this signing looks ok. He’s versatile according to reports and his goal to game ratio isn’t bad.
Not much to lose really. His wages won’t be huge.
A decent squad addition I hope.

fine with this...
decent premier league squad player... tho I must say I'm with Kebab on his injury issues...
said would be happy with 3 first team additions in this window, with added 2 or 3 decent quad players..
can't grumble at Smyth

Spanish, only 3 first teamers needed ?
Don't you think we need starters in the following positions?
GK, LB, CD, No 10, ST
That's 5 minimum for me, hopefully more

yeah for this window promo... can't be replacing the whole first team, 1, for team settled-ness.. and 2. FFP (I'd imagine)
3 firt teamers, good signings... would then be happy with 2 or 3 squad players to plug the gaps..
January window, asses where are, what we need.
posted 4 days, 1 hour ago
Spanish I'm assuming you want a GK LB and the other position is ?
If only 3 first teamers it will be a big struggle
posted 3 days, 9 hours ago
Promo - GK, ST, 10 - top quality signings..
LB, CB, DM as young / squad signings..
then in January, see where we are.
zero reason to suggest we won't see a new star emerge this season from our younger players, Gray maybe?..
I just think (taking FFP out of it), if we went and signed a load of players for a load of money the squad would feel messy, people still finding there feet.. also, a potential rising star could never be found if they don;t ever get the chance..
Harry Kane for example, rose to the top level because he was allowed the chance to at spurs (after a big money signing flopped), Soleki I think ??
anyhow, you get my point

-----------
stick a LB in there if you want mate... point is, we don't want to be building a team from scratch...
the point is to improve your current team.
we also have to consider FFP too..

Surely a LB is a priority? FFP PSR etc then
