Always wanted us to sign him. When I say always, I mean since the first week of June 🙃

Very happy with this signing.

Anyone else see that the other lad nunchucks,
Qualifies as English so he fills a homegrown
Slot while he’s at it. Not sure if this factored in?
If it did, hats off to recruitment team.

Brentford and Bournemouth who finished 10th and 9th respectively you mean?

You’ll go down immediately and should thank your lucky stars you got to spend a season with the elite.

last season you mean? - wasn;t aware they could carry their points total over to the next season, always assumed there newly depleted squads would start from zero like all the other PL teams..

go figure eh.. you live n you learn lads, you live n you learn

Get the recruitment right and we can finish above 18th.

A few “established” clubs might find it difficult next season.

Brentford the obvious one having lost their manager and probably losing their two goalscorers.

Wolves seem to be selling their best players.

Bournemouth always seem to punch well above their weight. Time they had a bad run.

Everton are never convincing and Moyse will have to work his magic again.

Our home record has to be spot on though. Get that right and we have a chance.

West Ham looked really poor last season too, and will likely lose Kudus and Paqueta.

Fulham's form tailed off significantly in the second half of last season too.

I would be surprised if the old school point a game isn't enough for survival this season. I don't know which one or 2 it will be out of all the names mentioned, but there's plenty of teams that could be the 'surprise' relegation battler next season.

I agree, we're certainly in with a chance.

Finishing positions can mean nothing, spurs for example,5th then 17th

Anyone else seeing these reports that Newcastle are still trying to hijack the Bijol deal? Seems the player signed and agreement with us and them. Udinese agreed fee
with us. Bit worrying. If true.

You want to hope that the guy has a bit of integrity. And if he doesn't, well maybe Leeds isn't the right club for him Batty.

Yep definitely a lot can still happen before it is done and dusted. Football recruitment can be brutal and clubs are not shy of trying to muscle in before a deal is struck, especially with the fee and the selling club.

I thought it was pretty common for a player to sign an agreement with multiple teams.
It's not like he's selling himself, that's up to the team selling. If they've agreed a deal with us that's tuff t!tt!es for Newcastle.

posted on 18/6/25

Genuinely believe this isn't just wishful thinking, but if schum start poorly next season they could be realistically in a relegation battle. They're a club in one hell of a mess, & i hope the "it couldn't happen to them" vibe is commonplace among the club itself. It can happen to anyone.
