Fantastic, two signings on the plane in time for pre-season. Let’s start shifting the deadwood now.

As predicted, we’ve agreed to pay a bit of a premium on top to get better terms/instalments.

Hope that means we can begin to work on the next deal asap.

I thought originally Mbeumo was okay to sign, and any ‘further’ signings after that were subject to sales. If this means we’ve only now put down around £20m on him, we have some cash still for another smaller/easier signing such as a GK?

Would imaging a striker/midfielder is fully dependant on money raised by sales.

Slowcoaches like Ornstein trailing in Diafol's wake, who had this deal pretty much announced days ago.

For the naysayers...

Salah before Liverpool

Played 225 Goals 68 0.3 goals per game

Mbeumo before United

Played 321 Goals 96 0.3 Goals per game

Both were 25 when joining their new clubs.

I'm not stating that Mbeumo will get anywhere close to Salah levels but their careers followed similar patterns up until the age of 25.

Apparently we are looking at some keeper from Antwerp. Never watched him play myself but reading hes very good with shot stopping and claiming crosses. Not so amazing with ball at his feet but I dont mind about that tbh. Keeping the ball out of the net needs to be 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th consideration. ETH skipped over those points to sign this moron we have in goal.

If United finish top 8 next season, it will be their biggest jump up the table from one season to the next for 51 years.

If we add a decent keeper and ST there's no reason why we can't. Top 5 will be beyond us I think but after that anything can happen if you hit some form and stay relatively injury free.

The gap between 6th and us and Spurs in 15th and 17th really isn't as big as some think. The gap to the top 3 is quite some way off though now. Just have to accept it and keep building slowly.

If we’re only putting down circa £20m, we should still have around £100m available in the revolving credit facility.

The questions are: how much of it do Ineos want to spend? and where are we with respect to PSR?

We need those outgoings (eventually) sorted for PSR purposes if nothing else, even if Rashford goes on loan and we get a pittance for Sancho. If we can get Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Garnacho and Malacia’s wages off the books, it’ll make a big difference, regardless of any transfer fees. Probably ballpark £600-£700k per week there, which probably nearly pays Cunha and Mbeumo’s wages twice.

Casemiro and Shaw’s gone too would be nice…

A friend whon supports Liverpool (I know) says that many Liverpool fans wanted Mbuemo if Salah hadn't renewed his contract.

He'd have been a good fit IMO.

Just got to find the right Striker profile to play with them both (+ Bruno) now.

Rasmus isn't it and never will be. Poor technique, poor movement and too preoccupied with tangling up with defenders than he is scoring goals.

Zirkzee n Obi as the backs up. Time to go sign a goal scorer.

If we can get rid of 2 or 3 of the 4 unwanted big earners and add a new GK, I'd consider that a relatively good window considering the financial restrictions we are working under.

Should we look good for a top 8 finish come Dec, maybe we could add again in Jan.

Unless Hojlund gets a move, I cant see us signing a CF. Partly due to finances, partly to do with a lack of options, and partly down to the squad size right now.

I wouldn't entirely be against a Cunha, Mbeumo, Brumo front three if it meant we signed a real beast of a midfielder to play alongside Mainoo.

Hold up play is essential for any striker in this formation, not just "scoring goals". We need a very experienced strong striker.

I don't want to see Cunha at 9 personally. The most impressive part of his game is picking the ball up deep and running with the ball. Very comfortable pulling the strings as he showed for Wolves. Similar with Mbuemo really. He can also do a job upfront but he's far better coming from deep and wide.

We need a striker badly.
