Gyokeres is still very much on. Still heavily linked with Eze or Simons. How many attackers do we need to have "really addressed what we need"?

Facking hope so. You make it sound like a negative - do you want to finish outside the top 4??

We need another one on top of the Madueke and Gyokeres singing. I've seen it too many times before to think they will actually get Eze or Simons on top of that.

Cazorla, Podolski, Giroud
Ox, Gervinho, Park, Campbell, Benayoun
Walcott, Adebayor, Vela
Pepe, Martinell, Ceballos
Auba and Mkhitarayan came in January after the big money signing of Laca in the summer.
And that is just off the top of my head.

Factually you are right. However the majority of those players were pretty useless.

To be fair a lot of those signings mentioned by DJ came when we lost some big players.
2011 we lost Fabregas and Nasri
2012 we lost Van Persie and Song.
January 2018 we lost Giroud, Sanchez and Walcott

The only upgrade we made was Alexis Sanchez in that period. Fabregas, and RVP's departures set us back a good few years.

Arsenal might very well have used the Eze money up on Madueke unfortunately.

Not sure where you dragged that from but it simply isn't true. Arsenal still have a lot of money to spend even before any more sales of deadwood like Zinchenko and Trossard.

The team needed some first team players and depth and that is being addressed. I am pleased with what the recruiting team is doing so far
PGMOL permitting, we have a good chance to bring home the title this season.
posted 1 week, 4 days ago
Realistically our business will end after Gyokeres (or another striker). Would love another left sided player to replace Martinelli/Trossard but unlikely to happen now.
Gyokeres, Eze and a back up DM would be the perfect window.
posted 1 week, 4 days ago
Isn't Norgaard the backup DM?
Transfer window closes on 1st Sep!
The only starter we needed was Zubimendi which is why he was signed almost at the start of the summer window. The rest are backups, at least for the start of the season (and that includes Gyokeres) baring injuries. So there is plenty of time to sign players. Gyokeres will probably be completed this week.
I then expect some outgoings.
In fact, the market only really moves at the end of the transfer window when selling clubs don't have time to wait as they are now!

Gyköres will happen. Absolute no doubt in my mind about this transfer.
One of Eze or Rodrygo could happen. According to Arteta's latest interview we are still short in numbers.
These transfers are not easy to realise if you not Liverpool and overpaying.

I really don't understand why the original poster thinks this has been an underwhelming window.
Arsenal have finished 2nd three times in a row, so the squad is already more complete than clubs below us as a starting point.
After that we have bought the best DM on the market, considered by many top scouts as only second to Rodri who was the best player in the world a year ago.
Good, experienced, serviceable backup DM, captain of almost all clubs he has splayed for. A backup to Saka who is also his backup at International level. At one time the world's most expensive goalkeeper, who had a very good season last year, soon to announce, a top young Liga centre back and a striker who was second only to Mbappe in the golden boot race.
If we can get Eze as well, I think this has been the most complete window since David Dein was in charge!
