I like the fact that we have three new starters, but also (thanks to versatility of existing players) much better quality in depth in the 10 positions. We know that Amad can play the L10 well. Bruno obviously R10 (and if we did get Baleba, I could see him playing more minutes as a forward) and Mount showing some signs of sustained fitness and sharpness. As a knock-on, while Cunha and Mbeumo aren't centre forwards, they offer better quality alternatives than we've had recently when Sesko isn't playing.

If all 3 stay fit, honestly would be looking for at least 50 between them, maybe add 10 for Bruno and maybe 10-20 for the rest of the team.

This might sound crazy compared to last season, but I feel above is more than achievable

We scored 44 League goals last season which is quite honestly a total joke.

I'd like to think Sesko, Cunha, Mbeumo + Bruno will all get double figures this season in the league.

Then likes of Amad, Dorgu and a few others need to chip in with 5 or 6 each too.

Should be aiming for 60 goals this time around.

I’d be surprised if all three got double figures in the prem. They’ll need to gel with each other and expecting all three of our attacking signings to hit the ground running doesn’t seem likely.

1) at least two of those new signings have been scoring decent goal amounts in the PL already

2) They’ll have entire weeks between games to run training drills together

50 *league* goals between the three of them? That's a big ask. Bruno, our most prolific attacking midfielder and best player of the post-Fergie era, has broken 15 league goals only once in five seasons. And we haven't had a centre forward who has hit 20 or more goals since RVP.

Think Sesko is going to have a tough first game tbh if he starts (up against the leagues best CB pairing with little pre season and no friendlies with his new teammates) so hope he's mentally strong to deal with the pressure and the aftermath of pundits/online coming at him about his price tag etc.

I'm not sure, the false 9 didn't really work in the last 2 friendlies.

Sesko finished all the media and medical etc on Sunday, and was in full first team training yesterday morning with the full week to get ready for Arsenal in the build up to the game. Would it really benefit us to work tactically on playing vs them with the false 9 again, if he's there in training?

I’m hoping this closed-doors friendly is a bid to see if Sesko is ready to play 60 mins against Arsenal.

Amorim’s approach does not suit a false nine. He never used it at Sporting, and when he’s tentatively tried it with us, it hasn’t worked.

I’d rather risk Hojlund (if he’s still at the club) or throw Obi in if Sesko isn’t ready than see Mount or Bruno up there.

Either that or play Mbeumo at nine and Amad at R10.

I’d also legit pick Heaton over Bayindir. He has been objectively better in preseason.

If we can’t shift Onana, Bayindir has to go and we need at least a new number two.

If Sesko isn't ready then I'd play Mbeumo as No9 and possibly even Dalot at RWB is Amad is pushed forward to L10.

Incredibly optimistic.. for context only Liverpool and City got over 70 goals last season.

As an outsider my bet would be on Mbeumo finishing this season as your top scorer. 15-20 goals depending on whether he is taking pens or not. Sesko and Cunha to finish closer to double figures

Funny question. Should we be working on winning this game or playing our first 11 and start building them up? Take this as a pre-season continuation but with Sesko and the first 11. We need to start seeing our formation which due to transfers still happening has not been seen. I am of the idea that teams should adjust to us not the other way around and that comes from having your best team according to formation. I do not think we've seen our best 11.
