Apathy towards America’s gun problem, and further deregulating gun control, isn’t going to help the matter though, is it? It’s done the complete opposite over the decades.

I personally wouldn’t, no. I’d agree it’s a morally dangerous generalisation. But then that’s what politics is these days, on both sides. Race grifters like Farage, Yaxley-Lennon, Abbott, Butler and everyone’s favourite beaver flasher Nardiner Kaur have hijacked the debate and dragged it to the extremities.

Didn’t Kirk literally encourage Republicans to buy weapons in case they need to fight left wingers?
I think you’ll struggle to argue that he didn’t incite violence, both with his [im]moral standpoints and with his literal calls for fighting / weapons.

I’ve no idea about that. I’ll research it.
What I do know is that the Left lost any moral high ground over that narrative in the past 48 hours. Given the celebratory reaction to, and apparent approval of his murder, if he did say that then there’s evidence of it being sound advice.

Most people on the left have condemned political violence.
I didn’t hear any of that from the right when Pelosi’s husband got beaten to writhing an inch of his life with a hammer.

No, not going to try to deny that the initial reaction from right wing commentators to the attack on Pelosi’s husband were more varied, and many gave a poor account of themselves over that.
However, that doesn’t detract from my point. There have been myriad examples of people celebrating Kirk’s death online, and in the mainstream. That clown Matthew Dowd lost his job over it.

Both sides are equally culpable for sowing the division that has people thinking that their right to not be offended trumps free speech, and violence is a solution when you disagree with people.

What's really weird is you trying to put the onus on the left.
You use terms like "hurty words" to describe what annoys the left.
And paint them as "celebrating" Kirk's death.
Maybe some on the left just "gave a poor account of themselves" to quote you.
Don't know why I'm arguing with somebody who admires fvkin Meloni tbh.

Such a weird take. Just cos people don't care about some diiiick we hadn't heard of a few days ago getting shot doesnt mean anything.
Even Trump doesnt give a shiiiit now that it turns out the shooter cant be used to push his narrative.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Taking pleasure in someone’s death when their worst crime is hurty words is a weirder take.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Pointing out he's not a nice person is not taking pleasure in someone's death.

Some people celebrated in and others on the other side made all sorts of baseless accusations and used fake outrage as an excuse to attack others, which is just as bad.
Doesn't mean everyone is awful, just means some people are very far gone. You cant judge both sides entirely on the actions of those people, although I'd wager there were more on the right pretending to be outraged than there were on the left celebrating.

I'm generally a man who hates any kind of violence or someone dying and I took no "joy" from him dying but I DESPISED what he said and did, there's a distinction between both

….
Most people on the left have condemned political violence.
I didn’t hear any of that from the right when Pelosi’s husband got beaten to writhing an inch of his life with a hammer.
But you already know that don’t you?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, not going to try to deny that the initial reaction from right wing commentators to the attack on Pelosi’s husband were more varied, and many gave a poor account of themselves over that.
However, that doesn’t detract from my point. There have been myriad examples of people celebrating Kirk’s death online, and in the mainstream. That clown Matthew Dowd lost his job over it.
Nobody has moral superiority at this point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you just going to ignore the vitriol coming from US politicians blaming Democrats, Liberals, the left in general for Kirk's murder?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t think I’ve ignored it. I’ve mentioned it several times.
Both sides are equally culpable for sowing the division that has people thinking that their right to not be offended trumps free speech, and violence is a solution when you disagree with people.
I actually think it’s really weird.
