Andy, I hate all football now! I have been accused of supporting all teams by all fans, which must mean i'm doing something right... or wrong. I'm probably supporting Tracking Back Rovers now, given my new job as trophy polisher.

I expect Pardew to do a 4-3-3 formation with a midfield 3 of Tiote, Cabaye, (and if you sign him) Matuidi. The front three will be Marveaux, Ben Arfa and Ba or (if you sign him) Erding.

Cabaye is an excellent player. His quick passing and setting the tempo is top notch. One of my favourite players in Ligue 1. He plays deep as a deep lying playmaker.

Marveaux is another exciting player but his problem is his fitness. When he's on his game he's a joy to watch. Lightning fast with amazing technical ability to glide past and set up players.

Matuidi is a defensive midfielder who protects the back four especially well. he is very strong, has good balance, good pace, and times his tackles very well; thus making him incredibly difficult to beat in one-on-one situations.
Further, his stamina allows him to maintain a high level of performance for the entirety of a game, and his work-rate and tenacity ensures such an attribute is utilised.

For us (St.Etienne), he was very much a deep-lying midfielder - protecting the space in front of the defence, as opposed to pushing up and harrying opposition.

Erding is a good striker. He plays similar too Gameiro but he takes more chances too score.

Also Admin1, as a tracky, you should know full well that we have no intention of winning trophies. We just get into Europe via the effort league, equivalent of fair play league in this country.

Admin1 how many complaints do I have?

posted on 8/7/11

I really need to make my mind up whether I like being a champion or a trackerback. Or neither. I don't think I have the quality to be neither.

Saint Rhone cheers mate. I think with marveaux he's been v unlucky that he has had 2 long term injuries quite close together and not a recurring injury which from my point of view is a good thing. Cabaye is a steal and i'm not sure if we'll get matuidi as he'll cost £10m+ . Erding seems good for £7m if he can find his form from last year
