i hear your getting Robbie Savage
I do have to agree with you that we should be showing the same ambition. However on the flip side. West Ham will generate enough cash from the sale of their overrated talent to pay Nolans wages for the next 3 years. Oh and then yeah 48M in parachute payments over 3 years might help as well!!!!
However we should be pushing for someone like Nolan for sure he could be the answer in the center we were looking for. Dont expect anything as exciting as this to happen at ER though!
Who are Portsmouth signing then? Lily Savage?
David Norris has just signed I think you was after him, so you getting ex Manc Alan Smith back then bet the fans will love that
To be honest i couldn't care if west ham are getting Nolan! yes he probably will be a top signing but id rather look for a younger player at about 26 years old who's proven at this level i wouldn't mind Nick Montgomery!
Nice to see a Portsmouth fan taking an interest in us, whereas no-one on here gives a flying duck about them !
It appears those 3 musketeers learnt some lessons aren't they?
They receive 14m this yr parachute payment, thats why they are fav to return to prem, We are 16/1 for a reason, 11 place is the forecast. I hope/think we will be top 6
Leedsmadness have you seen the size of West Ham's debt?? unreal! they won't go back up this season in my opinion!
I know they have debt, but i think they will take a gamble, if they dont get promoted they will be in up to their necks.
Boro did the same last season under STRACHEN,
They have even larger debts now, A risk Uncle Ken isn't willing to take, and i agree, if you followed the UEAF financial fair play thread last week, A few Championship club were actually paying more in wages than the club were making, i think that will be West Ham this year
I missed the fair play league thread last week (just signed on today) but it doesn't shock me teams are doing that! and Boro were a joke last season! i think West Ham being heavy faves will also fail like Boro did last season but thats just my opinion!
Is this what is going to happen every time another club sign a good player? Bluememememe will write a load of boring drivel? We can't afford Nolan's wages for kick off so stop banging on about boring nosense will ya?
this is for you Krusty

cheers leedsmadness but nothing on having to get the books balanced after 3 years time??
Its starting 2012/2013 season, look at the football league website they voted on it last tuesday.

...........................................
Debt means nothing. Nowich are 20m in debt went down in 2005? Then wet down again. They just gone upfaster then us!
bluememe! rich backers! also they didn't have to sell there assets like training ground or stadium or enter administration and have to rebuild a whole new squad from the core of about 4 players! thats why its taken so long to make progress!
It is fascinating to speculate how the p orn kings will end up if this gamble goes wrong.
Their purchase of the club cost them £100m and despite the obscenity of the para payments they're turnover will be reduced by a minimum of £20m not withstanding any losses on the commercial and sponsorship front.
The fact that Gold and Sullivan have a combined wealth of £1b+ makes it easier but how much it will eventually cost them is anyones guess so we'll stand back and get ready to giggle and wonder how long it will take them to return to the PL and when there are the complications of the FLs proposed adoption of a salary cap as well as EUFAs financial requirements..
What progress have we made? We are no better off now then we was 7-8 years ago on the pitch team wise. If anything we are arguably worse off now team wise then we was 4-5 years ago. We have gone backwards to go so called forwards. But in reality we are just back to where we started 6 years ago. Progress?
Well yes progress from going backwards! 6 years ago we were in a mountain of debt with a ageing squad with Kevin Blamewell as manager now we have young squad playing for Leeds not a pay cheque and no mountain of debt to deal with ok missing out on a play off spot was devastating but still in 2 years its been a good fun ride you can't deny that!

Please explain this one more in depth blue
7/8 yrs ago we had huge debt paying players stupid money on our way to oblivion and the 1st division.
NOW we are running a club with no debt, we are on our way up.
Debt means nothing, your right many clubs have debt, BUT this the last season that debt will be acceptable in the Championship, 2012/13 they will not be allowed to run a club on debt.
Yes i know that some club will try and get round the new regulations, let hope all the loop holes will be clsed
LM...meme can't explain anything because he is a wum who composes posts with the simplistic aim of annoying genuine fans.
