Dortmund have had a similar season to us. Started woefully, but are much improved lately!

They looked pretty tasty at the weekend and Gotze scored a couple, he's a belter of a player!

Word is Wenger did bid what would have been a club record fee for the boy just before the transfer window closed. Understandably Dortmund were keen to hang onto the lad. There's a fair bit of speculation Wenger will go into the market for Gotze in January. Tere's always a lot of hype around giftrd young attacking midfielders, but Gotze is the real deal, one of the best young players in the world and I'd imagine he'll go on to become a total superstar.

If Wenger does want the lad and Dortmund were to sell I think it's fair to say he'll cost a bomb.

Also at the Emirates, I'd expect Dortmund to look a much more potent outfit than many are expecting, like I say, they're vastly improved!

Im pretty sure we did bid for him but Gotze didnt want to leave dortmund just yet as he wanted to stay in Germany with his family for now.

I agree with this one. I do truely hope that we can win all our remaining fixture before the january window (probably apart from the City game).
But if we do, Wenger will not buy anyone.

Oh, and thanks to my extensive (2 min) research, ManU have had just one German on the books - Ron-Robert Zieler - now at Hannover 96. Unless you include Owen Hargreaves, the German born Canadian who played for England. Or something like that.

To be honest Utd could really do with a player like Gotze, fair to say they need a player like him more than we do!

I've got a strong feeling Utd will go back in the market for Sneijder in January or next summer.

As for Madrid wanting Gotze? I can't see it myself, ith Neymar almost definitely going to Madrid and Zidane (in charge with Mourinho on recruitment) allegedly sweet on Eden Hazard I can't see Gotze on Madrid's shopping list.
