I think Yaya is talking out of his Yaya. Sure City have built up an expensive array of talent, but to suggest that the 2nd team would get into the top 4 is ludicrous.

The teamyou put up has a very weak Central Defence, a weak Central Midfield, and you've included a player that wants out of City.

Don't think that 2nd team would get in the top 6

I don't think the 2nd team is that strong either, but to claim Hargreaves and De Jong is a weak central pairing (assuming fitness) is lunacy x

True. Which is way i would replace Barry with De Jong in the first team.

Now a central midfield of Barry and Hargreaves, that's poor.

Still better than arsenals!

Let's see that 2nd team central midfield then.

NDJ is the best DM in the country by far.
Ferguson wanted to build his midfield around Nasri and Wenger didn't want to lose him.
AJ is would be snapped up by teams like Sours or Liserpool
Hargreaves was a gimme for England when fit.

And that is your idea of a weak midfield!

People who think Barry is a weak player only watch football by constantly watching the ball. If you learned to watch the players off the ball, you would appreciate football on an entirely new level.

Admittedly it's a bit difficult to do that from your settee x

To be fair, on paper that second team is no worse than, dare I say, Newcastle's first team?!

De Jong has to be in the first team though, I don't know what's going on but he's a world class defensive midfielder, Yaya on the other hand, is not.

stupid comment from a player so early in the season IMO, if thats allowed on here.

Almost as stupid as Rooney's 'we taught City a footballing lesson'...

... Actually no way near as stupid.

Surely you're not still going on about the friendly RWC?
Yayas involvement was the only important thing at Wembley

PPLF - for the uninitiated, what does RWC stand for?

LOL the Charity Shield was a test of fitness, the derby last month was a footballing lesson. Simple.

That second team starting costs more then around 15 teams in the premier league squads.

Who cares?

We know you seem to have some obsession with how much our players cost, but when you want to transform a club from a relegation battler to a club with European pedigree in a couple of years, how else can you do it other than blitzing it with money?

That's never going to be a long term plan, but for the past few seasons, yes, that's what we've done. In twenty years I bet our finances have balanced out, what will you say then? Jeez fella your starting to become more predictable and tedious than a blue seat wum.
