People who are getting offended by JC are the same people that took the day off to get their xmas shopping done

The worst thing he did was apologise.

What's the point in being a controversial character if you're just going to apologise afterwards?

The same happened with Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross. What they did wasn't bad atall, the overeaction was ridiculous and they ended up saying sorry, most likely due to pressure.

There was someone the other day moaning about a joke at a Jimmy Carr gig, what did they expect?

That average show about cars makes a ridiculous amount of money for the BBC, so I guess a forced apology was the only option.

His words were taken out of context. But he still means what he said about the strikers (metaphorically).

I m not taking any political side here but he clearly uses every opportunity he has at his disposal (Top Gear, Newspapers, Books, Chat Shows) to 'have a go' at Labour, Trade Unions, Socialism, Environmentalist, Greens, (he is even a Global Warming denier FFS), in fact anybody who represent liberal or enlightened thinking or what he regards as 'Political Correctness' which in his (very) tiny brain is someone telling him that he cant drive past schools at 180mph at 4.00pm in term time.

I read an article in his newspaper once where is slated Multiculturalism saying he had no interest in it. He doesn't have any black friends and isn't going go out of his way to make any. Make of that what you will.

His totally inappropriate comment about the PM at the time being a one-eyed Scottish tw_@t just about summed JC up (and GB probably but that's a different story)

He is one of the most political active, non politicians in British media. The BBC should sack him.

Nowt wrong with having a go at Labour, Trade Unions, Socialism, Environmentalism ect., these all deserve to be questioned and critiqued!!!

Remember, one person's Elightened Thinking is another person's Bollox!!!

I make of it that he doesn't feel the need to befriend a person of different race merely to say he has!

Remember, Ron Atkinson wasn't racist and Blatter hugged a black man...

not whilst you are presenting a car consumer programme for the BBC.

Surely you can understand this?

Whilst true, I don't think you can say that Clarkson questions and critiques them!

Perhaps he just gives an opinion. (Shock-Horror!)

Well it's about time the BBC allowed some right-thinking, sorry I mean right-wing views to be aired.

We have to sit and suffer plenty of left-winged crap from them so I guess it's their way of demonstrating balance!!!

Since when has Top Gear been about cars?

My take, Jezzer was a bit OTT, but the jist of what he was saying was spot on.

In the current economic crisis this strike was selfish and utterly reckless. And it also did not have an end goal. They can not win, and they know it, so do the Unions.

McBroon and co have emptied the countries coffers and have recklessley borrowed beyond our means. Cuts have to be made across the board. My pension has also took a hit.

Typical Clarkson attempt to provoke a reaction. Probably a bit more than he anticipated. Don't think he is a very nice person really. Top Gear was funny but now its formulaic and contrived. Was never really about cars.

I'd happily sheite in Clarksons face, the man is an utter teewat!

A few years back he screamed foul abuse at a small 8 years boy because he took a photo of him whilst he was on a sun bed. Screamed blue murder and demanded the camera be handed over, the man is an a hole.

A long time ago. Its about the buffoons who present it these days. Having said that have you seen the US version? You realise that our lot might have at least some charisma.

Hey, I agree with what you say. I just think that Clarkson is a tool ! (I dont need any political education from him that's for sure).

Yes I have. There is no chemistry between the presenters what so ever.

I quite like our version. It is harmless fun, and not to be taken seriously, but it is actually more funny than any US Sit Com that is on the air at the moment.

Without knowing the statistics I would take a guess that it is one of the BBC's most exported TV programmes.
