Sorry B.F I actually deleted the Benji and captaincy bit but it didn't work which helped with the confusuion.....after posting this article I've since been to my local and it appears 75% of the boys favour the power play with 2 players leaving the field for 5min. or until a try is scored.....

Myself I don't agree...I think it is punishing the forwards to much, we already see now where most games a try is scored in the last 5-6 min. of each half with players feeling near exhausted.
Besides that a team with just 11 players be it in attack or defence is going to be slowing the game down to a stand still, whether it be a cramp in playing the ball or laying over the tackled player....no it's not for me..

I never thought of that BT......it will indeed.

Defending with 10 against 13, even a team with 10 Nathan Hindmarsh's wouldn't keep them out.
On saying that, as soon as the team scores the 2 players ejected from the game come straight back on regardless if it's 2-3 minutes....I hope they don't consider it personally.

There is another rule change they are going to use that might interest a few of you lads that I have heard bitching about before......

When a ball is blatantly kicked 50 - 60 yards down field over the dead-ball line with a quarter line tap taken.
They are trialling for the opposition to play the ball where it was kicked from, if the ball goes dead.
The fullbacks will like this rule because it would mean most kicks will be landing 10-15 yards into the field of play instead of right on the line and getting belted back a couple of yards...
