dont know too much about Gobern to be honest , on you tube he looks a quality player but thats just one clip .
as for Pelts and Pilks. LC has come out and said that he has only spoken to one club about 1 player, that is believed to be Peltier and Leicester.
hes also said that our young stars will be valued in the 7 figure bracket. rumor is about 1.2 mil for pelts , if thats true i cant see Pilkington to go for less than 2 mil
i was being sarcastic about the you tube clip by the way
Cheers Lambert, i've heard this has now been confirmed. How come he decided to leave your boys, more money, moving up north or just wanting more games? What sort of compensation would you expect with him been under 24?
I'm worried about this. We need experienced playmakers and tacklers in the centre
not inexperienced players though he may have promise and good resale value if ever need to
and oggy thinks we are trying to get rid of best (if we can of course).
That looks like we are bringing in cheap unproven players for best leaving like have in past not a good sign..
His tackle was horrendous on youtube one of worst I've ever seen.
Its better if we cant sell the best and bring in experience in the middle
I'm just tired and fed up after dealing with idiots elsewhere.Hence the bad grammar.
I mean the ones a lot have been going on about going only based on rumours.
Pelts,Pilks,Smithies and maybe even Rhodes.
Looks like some of them may go now after what Oggy said.He knew that the club were trying to get rid of some of them.
We might not be able to sell them, not for 1m plus anyway,
but it's a bad sign if we are trying to get rid of the best players. And replace them with cheap unproven ones like we have done in the past.
Looks like morons who just kept going on and on based on rumours were right all along
i'm not convinced that we are actively trying to offload the best players we have, just a couple of days ago LC came out and said we dont need to sell and we dont want to sell.
Dean hoyle has come out and said the same thing
so either Oggy is putting forward an opinion ( so far that have been few credible rumors about players leaving )
or the management of the club are out and out lying to us
i think its a little embarrassing for the club to "reveal" whats been offered so far..
the million plus "club" are going to be sorely dissapointed..
its called the added price of failure, which in truth, was what last season was..
it devalues your players overnight and added to us still paying very good wages for this division adds to the pain, im afraid..
I know. I actually used the point that Lee had said that Dean had told him we didn't need to sell our best players.
I used that as I'd read it unlike a lot that think they are great Town supporters;
who hadn't read it on DATM ;
and were continuing to spout rubbish (as they had been doing on mass for days)
about how we were going to sell Pelts,Pilkington etc just based on rumours.
I'd read the article.They hadn't.
And used it to try to get them to try to quieten their stupid rumour mongering.
The difference is that Oggy says he knew we were trying to sell the best ones. Seems like he's got that from maybe either Clark or Dean.
I'm not sure if he's got it from either of them but he sounded gen in that he knew we were trying to.
So either Oggy is lying and he doesn't really know that
or we will only sell them for 1m plus which we prob won't get offered for one
let alone all those the club are prepared to offload.
where are the details on this and selling players anyone ??
the message from LC in the examiner was pretty clear.
we dont need to sell
we dont want to sell
the only reason our stars will leave is if they demand to
we want top dollar for any of them who do want to
price will start at 1 million and up
so if Oggy has different info as a journalist he should tell us where that information came from so as to validate what hes saying
I am trying to listen to that interview with Oggy again but it isn't available to listen to again, yet.
If it's going to be of course. The interview was on Radio Leeds West Yorkshire Sport, today 12/6 from 2pm so have a look in a few days and it may be available to listen to then.
Trying to make sure he said he knew we were trying to offload our best players.May have just said the top earners which is maybe a different thing.
As Pelts,Pilks,Smithies are maybe not on comparatively high wages compared to some others.
I'd think Rhodes will be on high wages though. So may just mean him and Kilbane (who it looks like we're just letting go back to Hull), Lee and Kay.
I think they, our oldest and most experienced ones are on highest wages together with Rhodes who I think will be.
Oggy definitely seemed to know something..Trying to check it again.
Sorry for any confusion.I was really tired when I listened to it
and upset because we were buying Gobern when we need experience/quality in midfield.
Thought it may be bad sign.
To find out what Oggy really said and meant listen to the Leeds West Yorkshire Sport interview with him which was aired on 18/6/11 2pm onwards.
If we are trying to sell either our best players or just the top earners.
Maybe none of our best are our top earners
Please take into account that even though Lee and Dean have said they don't want to sell, which is true and I believe them,
That's not the same as realizing we may need to sell to get our wage bill down, and they have to make out we're hell bent on not selling to keep the offers offered high.
If clubs knew we were prepared to let either our best or just top earners go they'd take advantage and lower their offers.
Not that they are trying to con our support if that's what's happening. It's just that they want to keep them but realize they may have to sell.
And have to make out we are hell bent on keeping them to keep offer price high, just a game they need to play,
way the business of football works, so that's for the best of the club if they are doing that,
and keeps improving the club's budget/revenue for the future.
s** sorry I meant 18/6 from 2pm told you I was tired. If that can be listened to in a few days check it out to see what Oggy said
LC says a million+ , but he don't say how , maybe they will take a tenner down payment , and the rest after say 10 yrs
still talking the talk...we havent walked the walk, clark nor his star players..
he over rates himself and his players..for someone who it seems accepts second best and "we nearly did our best and nearly did it" the price will definitely come down..
Nope I'm not still talking the talk. I am one of the biggest supporters of Clark and have debated with those that kept going on about rumours that our top players were going just based on rumours, over and over.
I used what he said about Dean saying we didn't have to sell to prove my point with them too as I'd read that interview as I have listened to any interview on us recently which a lot who were coming out with that non sense haven't.
So I'm not like them at all. I only said what I said because of what Oggy said on his Radio Leeds interview today
You do go on don't you , ffs give it a rest now
Argh im so tired. Know what you mean now 38.
I still trust Clark, 27 unbeaten equaling all time record, and beating the amount of away wins record and when we would have went up automatically in 80% of previous ten seasons on 87 points,
Leeds got automatic on 86 points in 2010 are not the signs of a bad manager.
If football had gone the way it normally does, would have got promoted on 87 would you still complain then.
How you or any 1 can when he's equaled and beat all those records and how we'd normally have gone up
(and don't you know we can't play passing pure football in every game as I'd like us too until we have a good enough set of players and squad to be able to;
that's obvious) How anyone can still insist on having this anti Clark c*** attitude is beyond me.
hey now now boys keep it respectful lol
Sorry to be late to reply. He only played as a bit part really, cup games and coming on as a sub. He is a water-carrier, breaks up the play and plays a simple pass to the nearest shirt, nothing complicated - but effective at doing what he is told to do.
Tall lad, and is a bit like Bambi-on-ice I must say, I've seen him fall over when running with the ball 3 times this season in just 5 games.
He will be decent, but surprised he has joined you lads, thought he would be looking at a lower League One club like Brentford, Carlisle or Yeovil.
The reason he is leaving is because he is a bit-part player, and finds himself behind Schneiderlin, Hammond and Chaplow, heading into a higher division.
All the best to you and your club.
I know Doing the Lambert
I read what your fans said on your forums earlier. Yes he worries me,
not much experience, doesn't appear that talented
and considering he is from your academy is a bit surprising. And that tackle against Brentford,
that is maybe the dirtiest tackle I have ever seen.He must've known he was going to poleaxe the guy as he dived in two footed mid air
from best part of ten feet away.
We need experience and quality in centre
and don't need hooligans playing for us.Hope he won't tackle like that again. If so he can go
and play where they like players like that IE Leeds.
He really I can assure you he isn't like that at all. I don't know what happened he just got excited.
Met him and he is a really down to earth young guy.
Jeez U6697 you aren't half negative about someone you haven't really seen play.
I know very little about him to be honest,I know more his brother Lewis than Oscar. If "Doing the Lambert Walks" assessment of him is correct, then he is the player we have been missing since Johnson got crocked,a holding midfielder, doing the donkey work.

sounds like a Carlton Palmer type to me, Just what we need, Loads of energy, Zest, Never say die attitude, Ungainly but does the simple things well.
I would like to think Arfield will shine next season, This was after all his first year away from home.
We had a vastly experienced selection of midfielders this year, But lacked youthful exhuberance and pace.
I will judge this Gobern character after i have seen him, Not before.
He is exactly that, not glamorous so goes un-noticed. The kind of player you don't realise what he does until he has gone. That said, I think we are more than capable without him.
