Can't fault the players for effort today. We played some good football in patches and dominated most of the game. The only real criticism I have was regarding our changes. Playing 1 upfront 1-0 down at home, I thought we should have made changes 10 mins earlier than we did. That is where the manager earns his money and I don't think he did that today. Credit due as we played well, but that is not enough - we need results, particularly at home.
By putting two upfront earlier we could have had a chance of winning it, but instead we were only ever playing for the point, which at home against what I thought was a pretty poor side is not good enough.
It is also a worry with potentially one fit centre back going into an important xmas period. If Lascelles is that good why is he not even on the bench - unless he is injured there is something not quite right there.
