I really can't call this game. Hopefully we'll sneak a win, but i don't see much between the 2 sides.
We're both capable of Jekyll and Hyde performances ...... my prediction 2 - 1 to Leeds.
It depends which Leeds united team turn up expecting a tough game with a lot of play down the wings! Can't see the centre mids playing much of a part. Going for 2-1 Leeds!
Let's hope Jimmy kebe has learnt from his unsportsmanlike behaviour! Total disrespectful and he has massively gone down in my estimations!
Watch out for snotty he's on fire
well i would be very suprised if we lost to a poor small minority team like reading.
Got it in 1 YNBK. Will also depend on who's actually available. I think we all expect Howson not to be around for a couple of weeks, but having Brown back would help. We're at home & whilst we may have trouble moving the N85 bendy bus that Reading might just park in front of their goal, I'm not sure we'll concede that many either. I predict on a cold & windy Saturday a 1-1 draw.
Thanks so far guys. I think Reading fans fear this game rather more than West Ham last time out. OK, that was very cheeky by Kebe, even though it was a split second really, and I think it comes from a dislike between the two teams this last decade. But Kebe is certainly doubted by Reading fans for so many games lately where it appears he's not trying, and even for almost special treatment (i.e. being selected) by manager Brian McDermott when he shouldn't be an automatic starter. Of course, his contract is coming to an end soon, and frankly speaking most would prefer him not to stay in present frame of mind.
Back to game, I predicted a 0-0 on our thread; like last season you will have the better of the play, but I'm hoping on a good goalkeeping performance - this time by Federici instead of Alex!
Still very fearful that Reading could hit the same sort of form of last season and propel themselves into the playoffs especially after the WHU result. Think you're similar to us in that you've lost 2 massive players in Mills and Long and are therefore taking time to adjust meaning autos is probably out of the question. We rate McCarthy as a good keeper so Federici must be a very good standard to keep the number 1 spot.
Worried there could be a similar scoreline to the Barnsley result a few weeks back, although 5 out of the last 6 league meetings have ended a draw with the other being a leeds win so your record doesn't back up my claim.
2 of the top 3 in form teams, so could go either way. We are very dodgy at home This is the only game so far this season which is giving me the wobbles, lets hope its a great game & we win, what ever it takes aye ...
Detailed "Ref check" - this week Colin Webster - now up on the RR thread too. He's amazing for Leeds fans - in the last eight matches he's blown for you, you've got 7 victories and a draw!!
I don't think you need to worry about McCarthy having a good game, I think Reading have blocked him from playing against his parent club.
2-0 to Leeds, Home form has to pick up sometime, why not this Saturday
Let's hope the real Leeds turn up!
Prediction; 1-0 Leeds (Snoddy)
Daibo, read you're thread and can only compliment you on it. Fantastically detailed and very very unbiased
