We just had to save our sloppy defending for City away its gonna be very very tricky to get back in this now. We have to give it a go though and get Gerrard and Bellamy on as quickly as possible

Honestly apart from Reina, I can't fault any of the players so far. Very very unlucky to be losing this game.

Can you not fault Downing for being useless, Adam for the same reason and Kuyt for constantly giving the ball away...

No player in that team can cross a ball. Similar problem we have in Chelsea...

Comentators talking about Carolls pace.. He doesn't need one. Kanu at 62 still possess a threat than Caroll..

Don't understand the criticism of our UK based players. We have had plenty of possession and heart. We just don't carry enough cutting edge. We need a couple of quality attacking players in the transfer window and we will be fine.

This is city. They do this so many games give chances away somehow teams don't take them and with the most expemsive midfield and attack take there chances.

Remember the community shield, man utd dominated first half 2 shots from city and 2 goals. Man utd kept battering away at city and won 3-2.

Liverpool won 3-2 2-3 years ago so bring on gerrard bellamy salvage something.

Bellamy for Downing and Gerrard for Kuyt for me.
Hendo and Gerrard to switch onto the right every now and then.

Will Carroll ever actually try to get in the game like Dzeko does for City.

His biggest problem seems to be his own laziness. If he'd just try and get in between the defence and midfield and knock it on for Downing or Kuyt then we might actually be able to feed him in the box.

I think Gerrard is clearly going to have to come on soon, and hopefully Maxi and Bellamy can also bring a bit of willingness to the team.

Kuyt has been shocking this season, but we all know he can be great on his day, I just don't think that day is today. I'd sub him off with Henderson and bring on Gerrard and Bellamy prompto

Ahhhhh...Reina mistake and a great save by Hart (or was it a miss by Downing??), where IS the luck in that one!!

Fair enough 2nd by City, Skrtel lost his man twice (first a save by Reina), however we are playing well but miss a real cutting edge. Bring on Gerrard, Bellamy for Hendo and probably Carroll....although feel sorry for Carroll, he has had poor service again.

We got to go for it now, we deserve a goal at least!!

There was a liverpool fan here the other day saying liverpool should be considered title contenders if they beat city. But today ha once again shown how far liverpool actually are from being genuine title contenders

Let's be honest. It's a soaking wet pitch, is Kuyt really the man you want on the field?

His control is sketchy at the best of times, when it's soaking wet he may as well be playing on ice.

We've played ok. Two sloppy moments and they've got two goals. Gerrard and Bellamy will make a difference.

Ok just to clear something up. I'm not an arsenal fan, nor do I necessarily like them. I just respect Wenger

The last time Liverpool came from two goals down to win a Premier League match was away at Man City in October 2008

As good as Skrtel has been this season, he still worries me when defending set-pieces. He needs to improve there!
