Hippo course it is otherwise it would be called Tennis or Baseball
You sound a bit grumpy and miffed off. Perhaps you are a bit tired.
Shocking how footballers are not as fit as tennis players or baseball players, it's a joke! I say we should sign Babe Ruth!
Dead nawww
It's just total jealousy that I was total carp and these gits are so damn good at it.....Just think that sometimes there are too many excuses for them and the team when they don't play well
The players LOOK tired....but they SHOULDN'T be is where i stand on this matter
Think its more a case of how the players fitness compares to their competitors, every prem player is as fit as a fiddle for sure, but at the highest level its all about small pecentages - an extra couple of days rest for one team over t'other is going to impact in the the last 20/25 mins of a game. All you can do (particularly around Christmas) is try to manage your days "off" and rotate the squad when needed imo.
RRP ...That;s a very incisive comment grasshopper
Squid
I dont really understand how players can be tired. Sometimes i think they are so out of touch with everything, do they think that everyone in the world goes to work feeling 100%? I NEED SLEEP! But do i complain or get on with things

Ha ha ha! Brilliant. Inclined to agree with Squid here, they are paid a hell of a lot to play one or two matches a week. Man up!
But there is no denying they looked pretty spent against WBA.
What I don't understand is why when Niko came on he looked SO unfit. I think one comment was 'Kranjkar looks like he's running in treacle'. At this poitn someone says 'he needs match fitness' - if you are kept fit in training, should it make a difference when you play a game? Feel free to shoot me down.
Butters .....Hmm that's a great point as well
I'm not really having a go at them just wondering why some players and some teams dont look as fit as they should be , after all they have the most up to date regimes and the best trainers money can buy
Bring back Jenas and Zokora!! great engines
I heard you the first time
BTW I really dont like Chelsea
That's okay Squid, I was just being polite
Premiership games are at a much faster rate then training, so they have to learn to adjust to it again and that takes time.
It's like someone in any job takes a year off and when they come back they take some time to adjust back in to work. If that makes any sense.

What about basketball?
I agree 100% with the OP.
Yeah fair point doos. Just don't get why it makes such a difference (though to be fair Niko has never been the quickest!).
Not played for a while - lack match fitness.
Played too many games - too tired to perform.
Need a big squad to find the middle ground between those two!
Yeah Squid there is no excuse for it in this day and age, you do look at the game now as compared to say 15/20 years ago and see the progress made in terms of fitness of the players, they are athletes as well as footballers which does make for an exciting and entertaining 90 mins...
Doodoos
I say sign Sabine Lisicki.
