You're predicting a home win then?

I thought City were excellent and unlucky to lose.

But I don't have red tinted specs.

I'd take a draw.

Forgetting the ticket thing, I do actually think Liverpool will win this one. They raise their game against us (the 'cup final' jibe has a ring of truth to it), we don't look in great nick at the moment, any returning players will be out of match practice, and their crowd will undoubtedly make it hostile for us.

In our favour, there won't be that little match changing bit of magic from Suarez, and we might have a reasonably settled defense by then.

Not looking forward to it tbh.

or a win but with all whats gone on recently I'd be happy to bring them back to OT.

every team we play week in, week out, raises its game vs United. Including City, no more than Liverpool does. City are vastly superior to Liverpool. Like United are. We should win it really.

What tactics do we use for the game?

Do we go with our best possible team and go for it or do we use the 4-2-3-1 formation that we used at Anfield in October to try and keep them out and then try and nick a goal on the counter?

Loving the optimism RBW. Sorry just don't share it this time.

City didn't turn up in the first half, and we got out of jail in the second. A couple of good performances against Bolton and Arsenal and I'll probably be all happy again of course.

Nearly man. This 'cup final' thing is a myth up to a point. The game is as big for United players/management/fans as it is for ours. Just because you've been more successful than us it doesn't mean a victory means any less to United than it does to us. I suspect some United fans use that phrase to deflect attention away on the occasions that we've beaten you. After all, Gary Neville looked like he'd just won the cup final when he celebrated in front of our lot a few seasons ago...

terentius1... nah, just relating it back to my experience in the 80's when playing Liverpool was our cup final - you used to win the league, we used to punch above our weight against Liverpool. When you ruled the roost you could even buy 'Scousebusters' T-shirts outside the ground.

We've always loved beating each other, but you consistently raise your game against United compared to your current form, so I stand by my 'cup final having a ring of truth' comment.

Nearly man is spot on. United is looking very flat lately. On Wednesday watching the game even before Newcastle scored i could see that we could not win that game. Our passing game is just pathetic lately . How many times we lose the ball quickly even before we reach half way line. No need to talk about our defence at the moment , Rio can never win a one on one situation. He must go into retirement me think. I know we have injuries at the back but until then i doubt very much that we'll be able to beat Liverpool.

Or in fact red anything football related... although City have got a black and red away kit so I may have missed the mark there...

Why would we cut your allocation?

We are making you use the footy bus a d the away dressing room door leads out onto the carpark.

That should do it

United battered city in the first & we all hoped they would carry on the same way in second half but lets not forget we were playing the team who are top of the Prem at the moment.

I just cant see us being 3-0 up at half time against L/pool.

You're delusional here. Yesterday was actually your 'cup final' - check the crowd behaviour, how the players were 'up' for it.

This intensity hasn't been in evidence much this season (see Newcastle, Blackburn etc etc...) from your team. You raised your game for your cup tie against a stronger team who are league leaders and, on their day now, a much stronger outfit

I just hope it's a good game and isn't overshadowed by the Suarez/Evra thing, which of course it will be....

There's no way that Captain Positivity vloke is a United fan Fair play for keeping the charade going for so long, but the trouble is everyone has sussed him out, so its not even a very clever deception...

Well, it wasn't actually, was it? United have enough 'real' cup finals to deal with most seasons. We don't need to invent plastic ones too.

United fans and players were 'up for it' because it was a derby... and a win in the FA Cup... the competition that many United players want to win most of all according to themselves.

Let's be honest here. This draw was not what the FA or Liverpool Football Club wanted and it will be twice as bad for the FA if QPR manage to get past MK Dons because then they'll have to play Chelsea.

This draw is bad for English football and bad for Liverpool Football club because there will be trouble at this game, there's no point in pretending otherwise and there'll be a hell of a lot of abuse aimed at Evra, that's obvious and I'm sure the small minority of racist Liverpool fans that go to Anfield (yes I'm aware that every club or most clubs have a small minority of them) will want to vent their anger at Evra. It's not going to end well this in my opinion.

Outside of the league leaders part that is all opinion.

We have played each other 3 times this season and United have won twice, the only way they can be said to be better than us is because of the 3 points they are above us in the league...

Which as a Liverpool fan you should know, being top only counts once the season finishes...

Yes it was - the evidence is there for all to see. It was definitely your 'cup final' - in the sense that it meant more for you to win it than, say, the game against Newcastle when you showed little desire and no application.

This is beyond doubt
