Finger on the pulse thwere matey

Ironic, given that I'd corrected myself 26 minutes before your post, brains.
I hadn't read your correction so I was quite right to point out your horrendous error.
Yeah your "finger on the pulse" was spot on
Right pulse, wrong finger.
Here's a tip Boris, don't stick your finger up your hoop to check that pulse in future
"yet the FA defend Rooney for a blatent kick when he threw his dummy out of his pram."
You misunderstand the FA's position. The FA run England football team and it is their job to support them and get the best for them. The didn't decide what hapened to Rooney, they simply supported his side.
Just as Liverpool fans support Liverpool's side, etc.
In the case of Kompany, the FA were judging the mater and had to act accordingly.
ireallylikechristmas - I think this is the problem though isn't it. The FA are acting in terms of self-interest not principle.
Teams obviously want what is best for them – but should also adhere to some form of consistency. If a manager has a player sent off and criticizes the decision, it is hypocritical for him to then say the exact same decision is OK a week later when it happens in their favour.
It is understandable for the FA because it suits them to appeal Rooney’s ban, but it is hypocritical. That's the point being made.
