I doubt we will get him with the premiership intrest in him and would have to offer high wages to beat the rest who would want to sign him.

I think a relatively good player that is still young, shows some promise and has been linked with Derby County before is Ricardo Vaz Tê.

Having just been released by Hibernian, he's only 24 and may have been watched by scouts up in Scotland while watching Maguire and Bryson.

Vaz Te is all athlete, no footballer.

Vaz Te i feel was promising when he was younger he may be only 24 but out of 102 appearances he has scored a total of 10 goals and he is a striker.

Do you not think though that the goals:games ratio shows one thing? He is a big lad who get about and hold the ball up, something a lot of people on here seem to think we need, me included.

but when a team who came 10th out of 12 in Scotland which is not the best league say we don't want him it doesn't sound good at all.

I was purely suggesting he was a player that I thought looked promising.

Given the fact he's still young, he could just be a slightly late bloomer (e.g. Stevie Howard). He could just need an arm around his shoulders, a word in his ear, a little bit of nuturing and could be a great free signing...who would also warrant very little in terms of wages.

And if he does, we don't sign him!!!

Forget the 24yo reject along with waghorn and nugent. Can't perform for their present clubs, why should we want them? Let us raise the bar a little.

Personally, I think we have several options up top.

The defence looks great with Fielding, Brayford, Barker, Shackell and that's where it ends. Roberts should be backup - we need a left back who makes that defence look good, not a weak link.

We have plenty of midfielders, many who can play wide or centrally.

If we sign Maguire, I don't think we need another striker.

Smithe-: would rather give Ball a good run, Davies should be fit and firing and Mcguire is hovering with a pen. Failling these three, I would be scouting for someone who is shining in a lower league. I do not like the idea of repeating histoy and getting in players coming towards the end of their days, or under 25's who can't get a game elsewhere[except prem club].

You think maybe someone like Le Fondre or even though he has came up to the championship Lambert? And can see what you mean Dan but with Glick keep saying another striker who could it be

It had better be someone who makes us go "ohhhhhhh" or else it will be a waste.
