FT: LIVERPOOL 0-0 STOKE

That was an awful peformence from Liverpool, we really lack quality in the final 3rd, sort it out Kenny and just please please buy a goal poacher.
-----------

Even if we bring in a poacher it might not change too much, the tactics were so negative today I thought Hodgson was in charge.

It puts a lot of pressure on the players now to beat the 'big' teams. Not to discredit Stoke who are in great form, but we should be winning our home games against anyone!

The most disappointing thing is at home we are worried about losing so we set out for a draw, disgraceful!

Thats the point here, against top sides the opposition stick 10 men behind the ball and it takes real quality to break them down. Thats were real quality shows itself, unfortunately ALL these home draws point to a lack of quality; it really is that simple!

Henderson, Carroll and Downing are sadly proving to be waht most said they were...distinctly average!!

Well that was miserable. I know we hardly deserved to win, but Howard Webb - what an absolute plank.

Not good enough and Kenny seems to think his squad can get fourth. He's wrong. Kenny out.

He thinks this is still the 80's. Poor old duffer

Liverpool will NEVER win the PL!

Shocking at HOME
Shocking tactics
Shocking players
Awful atmosphere
Galvanise the team for special european night but when you play the lesser respected teams in the PL - You choke!

& that man Gerard - who is going into retirement & hall of fame as a failure for NOT winning the ONLY holy grail Liverpool have NEVER won - the Premier League!

Liverpool will continue to be a 'cup-mentality' team. Such a shame becos Liverpool are 'bigger' than that or i thought they were.

Kenny certainly lost the plot on this one. I'll be totally honest and say I am starting to worry now.
I've never even considered this since Kenny has been in charge, but I have recently starting to think, especially during this game, that Rafa returning seems more and more a consideration. Sheesh, don't believe I am even thinking that!

Didn't know you had a crystal ball, Grande. Yes we're not going to win the league at the moment but to state that we will never win it is a tad premature, don't you think?

Is not tad premature.

Its true

Every season Liverpool lack courage especially against lesser respected teams & most of the time play negative approach to games. Its alrite buying players - but you need players who believe & who can inspire & be match winners especially when not playing well.

The only time i thought Liverpool were gonna win was i think 08 or 09 when Liverpool finish 2nd. That was the one time i really thought Liverpool were gonna win but they choked vs Stoke (0-0) & vs Arsenal (4-4) & finished with 84 points which wud have been enough to win any season in any league around the world.

I would not say it is a lack of courage rather a lack of ability when it comes to breaking stubborn defenses down. Btw how can you use a 4-4 draw as an aexample for a team lacking courage it just does not add up.

If not courage - then you certainly werent clinical.

You shot urselves in the foot during that match.

I miss the days when Liverpool used to bully teams & over-power them.

Why is the atmosphere very poor.
It only come alive vs Real Madrid, Juventus & Inter Milan on european nights but never on cold wet & windy afternoon in the PL vs the lesser respected teams.

Is it becos Liverpool strive as the underdogs but when they come up agains the underdogs - they most of the time choke.

Liverpool's failure to score for the seventh time this season, they have drawn seven of their 11 home matches. They have scored 24 goals in their 21 PL matches - their fewest at this stage of a top fight season in 20 years, since scoring 24 goals in old Division One in 1991-92.
